Like it but as pp said it has more than one pronunciation so you will spend time correcting people. I would assume/prefer El-ay-na

Glad I've seen this post, I'm obsessed with the name Elena and if I ever have a girl would love to call her it. My concern has always been most people assume it's said like Elaine-a or Eleanor (I would have it as Ellen-a). But seeing this post it's nice to see people use and accept it all ways.

My SDd is an Elena (Spanish dad), she gets called "Lenny" by her friends and often "Lena" by us. I didn't like the name at first but it's really grown on me
