What to call DD3?

I need help. I cannot decide on a name for DD3. With my other DDs I chose a name as soon as I knew I was having a girl, but this time I just don't know! There are lots that I like but don't love, or the ones I love sound too similar to other DDs names or don't go with the surname, or DP doesn't like them!

Older DDs are Amelia and Elin. DP is welsh so we are open to welsh names but they need to be easy for English speakers.

I like Sylvie, Florence, Bryony, and Beatrice but DP doesn't like them.

I like Violet, Carys/Cerys, Iris but they don't sound great with the surname.

I like Seren and Bethan but worry they sound too similar to Elin by also ending with an 'n'. They will be similar in age so their names will be more often said together.

I think I like Naomi the most but I'm not sure I love it.

Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed!

Megan. Rhiannon. Gwen. Sian. Nia.
Naomi is gorgeous, BTW.

Enid. Dilys. Anna. Delia.

Love Rhiannon.

Non welsh suggestions are Olive and Hazel.

I feel there needs to be an L in there to kind of tie in the three names.

Shylo · 10/07/2019 22:47

I don’t think Bethan or Seren are too similar to Elin ..... Bethan is my favourite but I am biased as mine is 12 :)

Isadora2007 · 10/07/2019 22:50

Bethany?

Or I think a single syllable name would flow nicely with your other girl names.
Grace
Nell
Flo (rence)

Don’t like Seren with Elin, sorry. And maybe even Nell and Elin are too close. Beth?

bringbackfonzi · 10/07/2019 22:53

I think Seren (though really nice) is way too similar to Elin. Bethan not so much. Naomi is good name but like you I like it rather than love it. Love Sylvie and Gwendolen.

I do like the name Rose and variations, including Rosa and Rosalie. I was however looking at using the Welsh name Rhoswen as a middle name, which means white rose. But could choose a different middle name...

A lot of names suggested are already in the family (Sara, Megan, Alys, Nancy, Nia, Rhiannon) and as much as I like them all I'd rather not have a repeat.

As a side note - why is Dulcie being suggested so much recently in threads? I'd never heard of it till seeing it on MN.

There are so many beautiful Welsh girls names - you're so lucky to get to use them!

mysteryfairy · 13/07/2019 01:35

Leonie flows really nicely with your first two names without being super matchy

Tavannach · 13/07/2019 01:38

Seren is my favourite.

StarStruckBy1 · 13/07/2019 13:48

I really like Rhoswen. I've never heard of it. Is it pronounced Roz-when?
