Fern or Ferne?

Our baby girl is called Saskia, and we've decided on Fern / Ferne for her middle name. Which way would YOU spell it?

I would spell it Fern and think of it as a 'nature' name; but I haven't ever seen it spelled that way in real life.

I have a dd called Ferne. It gets spelt all sorts of ways by others. We’ve had fern, fearn, fearne.

Tbh the ambiguity of spelling is what puts me off this name.
However it's a middle name, so not like she'll be spelling out her name her entire life. I prefer Fern or Fearne to Ferne
