We have whittled our favourites down to a final three, and we need opinions. Which would you choose?

Jude Grey
Jude Abel
Jude Thatcher

Jude Grey is my favourite

chipsandgin · 08/07/2019 23:35

Grey - Abel was killed by his brother
& Thatchers is the third best selling UK cider (both of which trump the Grey/50 shades references/dull colour thing & middle names aren’t a big deal so if you’re going to go creative or off piste do it there IMO). Love Jude though.

Heratnumber7 · 08/07/2019 23:39

Neither Thatcher nor Grey are names, so Abel.

clpsmum · 08/07/2019 23:41

Grey

Astronica · 08/07/2019 23:47

Jude Grey. I dislike Abel and Thatcher only makes me think of one person.

Normandy144 · 08/07/2019 23:49

Grey is the nicest. I find Abel is just too biblical for me. Thatcher.... Well, there's nothing wrong with it in terms of it is a surname, but the clear link to Britain's first female prime minister would be a problem for me. You just need to decide if the Tory link bothers you.

Mamabear20 · 08/07/2019 23:51

Jude Grey

Shadow1234 · 09/07/2019 00:27

Jude Grey
Not keen on others

escapade1234 · 09/07/2019 00:30

None. Do these names have meaning for you or do you just think they sound cool?

Luckingfovely · 09/07/2019 00:53

Grey is the best from the slightly unusual list!

Namechangedonceagain · 09/07/2019 02:04

Jude Grey sounds amazing!

Namechangedonceagain · 09/07/2019 02:04

Not Thatcher. It's forever linked to Margaret

LoveYourHome9 · 09/07/2019 02:05

Grey!

justilou1 · 09/07/2019 02:07

Grey! Grey! Grey!

Aquamarine1029 · 09/07/2019 03:19

Jude Grey. Definitely.

Pemba · 09/07/2019 03:40

Abel because it's an actual name like a pp said. Thatcher, really??

Icklepup · 09/07/2019 07:41

Jude Grey

Cookit · 09/07/2019 08:44

& Thatchers is the third best selling UK cider

Huh?? I don’t think that’s the first thing people think when they see Thatcher...!

kittytiggy · 09/07/2019 08:53

Grey

chipsandgin · 09/07/2019 10:15

That’s true! Slightly worrying that cider was my first thought (although Thatcher was a dirty word in my house growing up - we were directly affected by her well and truly fucking up the education system & any political discussion involving her made my parents practically implode with anger so perhaps I selectively block out that association!). Not great either way as a name choice though obviously!

Sooverthemill · 09/07/2019 10:18

Don't especially like any of them and agree that 2 of them are surnames and one has the worst possible connotations for me ( I abhor the tries) and Grey makes me think of that book lots of people read a few years ago. Abel is a forename but don't think it goes with Jude especially well. But it's your child ( presumably) and no one ever cares about middle names unless they don't get one

Frith2013 · 09/07/2019 19:15

None of those.

Abel, as in Cain and Abel.

Thatcher as in Margaret. And it reminds me of Jo Brand’s joke about Lady Thatcher, the feminine hair removal product.

Grey isn’t a name. It’s a verminous squirrel.

Pixilicious · 09/07/2019 19:23

All bloody awful

bridgetreilly · 09/07/2019 19:44

I really, really don't like any of these.

devilishlygood · 09/07/2019 20:12

Jude is a really cool name just on its own
