Still can’t decide between 2 names...

I’m 32w & having DS2. DS1 is called Noah (we liked it before it became popular).

Debating between Ezra & Asa (pronounced “Acer” like the tree). Middle name will be Michael.

Was pretty much settled on Ezra but I’m fed up of DH saying we’ll go with that because “we can’t come up with anything better!”. Asa has better nn potential (I LOVE Ace) but Ezra possibly sounds better with Michael? Argh I’m fed up of going round & round.

P.s I’ve never understood waiting until you meet baby. If I had done that with DS1 we would have named him Garden Gnome.

Please help!!

I prefer Ezra! Sounds lovely with Noah too.
Congratulations Thanks

xJune88 · 08/07/2019 17:46

Ezra, congratulations x

Militantmartha · 08/07/2019 17:56

Both are nice but I prefer Ezra

Don't worry about the middle name as it'll be used so rarely. Go with the name you like best

villamariavintrapp · 08/07/2019 17:56

Sorry, I love Asa!

kittytiggy · 08/07/2019 18:05

My vote is Asa! Asa Michael sounds good to me and the nickname Ace is so cute x

Shadow1234 · 08/07/2019 18:35

Ezra Michael is the nicest and goes well with Noah

SnowdropFox · 08/07/2019 19:09

Ezra for me.

MustardScreams · 08/07/2019 19:10

Ezra Michael is a lovely name.

Norfolkenchancemate · 08/07/2019 19:10

My uncle is in his 40s and is called Acer. I love it!!

DramaAlpaca · 08/07/2019 19:12

Asa for me. It's much nicer than Ezra.

ReganSomerset · 08/07/2019 19:14

Ezra. Asa will be mispronounced.

MikeUniformMike · 08/07/2019 19:18

Asa. Prefer Michael though. I don't like Ezra at all. I like Noah.

happytobemrsg · 08/07/2019 19:51

We ALWAYS call DS1 by his first two names so I expect we’ll do the same again so it’s important they “go”. Michael is non-negotiable since it’s the name of a very dear friend.

I do worry about it being mispronounced @ReganSomerset

Asa for me

Owlbert · 08/07/2019 20:30

Asa but I would go Acer like the tree!

MeanMrMustardSeed · 08/07/2019 20:35

Ezra because you had to explain how to pronounce Asa.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 08/07/2019 20:41

Love Asa

FizzBuzzBangWoof · 08/07/2019 20:43

I prefer Ezra

happytobemrsg · 08/07/2019 20:57

@MeanMrMustardSeed that’s usually my thoughts when I see these threads, but if you correct it once people generally get it right??

I agree that would be easier perhaps for pronunciation issues @Owlbert, but the traditional Hebrew spelling is Asa so that’s what we’d go with (DH is Jewish)

I’m genuinely torn (much like this thread 😂)

Asa

NoCureForLove · 08/07/2019 21:17

Both are nice. Ira is even nicer!

StevieNicksRhiannon · 08/07/2019 21:21

Ezra for the win.

username1724 · 08/07/2019 22:01

Asa is great, sounds so cool! I work in paediatrics and Ezra is VERY popular right now..

miamiibiza · 08/07/2019 22:03
