Hi, my sister has a friend called Logan, a girl and I’m starting to love it as a girls name. If I have another daughter I’m really considering using it, what do you all think?

Top ten boys name so I wouldn't use it for a girl.

Wolverine

Logan

I just had a look back and it's been a top ten boys name in Scotland since at least 2010 - didn't go any further sorry.

But I wouldn't use it for a girl now.

AmericanLemonade · 04/07/2019 21:18

It is DPs name (male) but I like it for a girl

DuchessSybilVimes · 04/07/2019 21:19

Wolverine.

DramaAlpaca · 06/07/2019 00:35

It's a boys' name. It doesn't sound right on a girl at all.

SemperIdem · 06/07/2019 01:33

No

ladyratterley · 06/07/2019 01:36

I worked for the biggest arsehole ever & he had this name. Despite that, I think it’s quite a nice name for a male child. Not female.

Icklepup · 06/07/2019 15:12

Noo, don't even like it for a boy let alone a girl

bridgetreilly · 06/07/2019 15:43

Please don't use boy names for girls. It's incredibly sexist, and if you aren't sure why, ask yourself why no one ever uses girl names for boys.

Divgirl2 · 06/07/2019 17:32

It's incredibly common up here in Scotland for boys. I also hate it (for either sex).

RuthW · 06/07/2019 17:33

I know both male and female Logan. I think if it more as a girl's name.

WizardOfAus · 06/07/2019 17:34

Yes for a boy. No for a girl.

Frith2013 · 06/07/2019 17:36

It’s a boy’s name. No good if your surname is Berry.

HairyToity · 06/07/2019 17:37

It's a boys name.

AverageMummy · 07/07/2019 03:07

It’s bad enough for a boy

littlebitstressed · 07/07/2019 09:13

I used to only see it as a boys name but after meeting a girl called Logan (our old neighbours daughter) I love it for a girl and see it as a unisex name.
