Love it.

SushiForAmateurs · 03/07/2019 09:23

Neither, but definitely don't hate it.

AverageMummy · 03/07/2019 09:24

Naming is SO tough - I’m struggling to love any name at all!

Love. Wouldn't have chosen it as I wanted short names.
I really like Susan too, but see Sue as a bit of a bitchy name. Susie is nice.

SushiForAmateurs · 03/07/2019 09:30

My BF is Susan. Not Sue (matron) and not Susie (frilly, twee). Just Susan.

Always has been and always will.

AnonymousP · 03/07/2019 09:35

Love it! So beautiful and classic but barely used. I don’t like Susie or Sue though.

Peachbubble · 03/07/2019 09:47

Love it

Whereissummerthisyear · 03/07/2019 09:49

Lovely and underused.

elliandher5 · 03/07/2019 10:00

A bit outdated in my opinion.

AverageMummy · 03/07/2019 10:15

@elliandher5 I really liked the sound of it but seeing it written down on the thread has put me off a little - argh

I like it, but it will get shortened to several variants by literally everybody she ever comes into contact with. It's a bit like Jennifer and Victoria, people just can't help but decide they are Jen/Jenny and Vicky/Vix. It's really frustrating for the person who just wants to be their name. Or for the arenas of a young child who's grandparents all use different shortenings.

bridgetreilly · 03/07/2019 10:48

I like it. She might be a Susie or a Sukey or a Zanna or a Susannah.

sacope · 03/07/2019 10:50

Zanna I like that! Maybe zana? Would that be zay-nah rather than zah-nah though?

womaninthedark · 03/07/2019 10:54

Susannah is a lovely name. John Wesley's mother. Perfect. Nickname Zannah.

MikeUniformMike · 03/07/2019 11:45

Zanna would be like Anna but with a Z at the beginning.
Like Sue-Zanna

Saharafordessert · 03/07/2019 11:46

Love it

NotAgainKen · 03/07/2019 11:49

love it - it's an underused classic. Plus lots of nice diminutives.

teenmum18 · 03/07/2019 12:02

I like it and Suzy as a nn

Fatkins · 03/07/2019 15:13

I really like it.

Susie / Sukie / Anna / Annie for short.

Iliterallycantthinkofanythingq · 03/07/2019 15:39

Hate it! But love Suki.

MollyHuaCha · 03/07/2019 17:00

Love it

Tillygetsit · 03/07/2019 23:02

Dd1 is Susannah and so obvs I LOVE it! Both my girl's names are on threads today!

ozymandiusking · 03/07/2019 23:11

Love it.

DramaAlpaca · 03/07/2019 23:37

Love it.

Sophronia · 04/07/2019 00:02

I love it. I know a Susanna who goes by Annie. Sunny is another nn I’ve heard for it.
