But Keith and Nigel were faddy names! Keith a 50s name and Nigel a 50s-60s. Before and since barely heard of.

John I like, I’d use Johnny day to day.

But yes I think OP your list might be too current for him. Can you think of any classics you like? Christopher nn Kit? Edward nn Ted? Etc

Might he go for Nicholas? Then you could have Niko as a nickname.
