No idea if I'm having a boy or a girl but I've bounced a few names round with people and mainly my mum. Well I was listening to the radio and the Blossoms were on and I really like the name Blossom so told mum and the first thing she said is it reminds her of a cow called Blossom. Wtf! What are others views on this name?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I wouldn't, think about if it would suit your child still as an adult.

underthebridgedowntown · 23/06/2019 12:39

Terrible 90s American TV show. I think it's a bit twee to be honest, and it might be cute on a toddler, but imagine a 30 year old, or 50 year old - it doesn't age well

ChippingInLowCarbing · 23/06/2019 12:40

Daft name for a person, fine for a Cow, Rabbit or Donkey.

WhiteLightTrainWreck · 23/06/2019 12:40

Sorry, not keen. My thoughts instantly went to The Power Puff Girls.

DramaAlpaca · 23/06/2019 12:41

I'm with your mum. It's lovely on a cow, ghastly on a person. And will possibly get misheard as Bottom. Not good.

AndBeholdAWhiteHorse · 23/06/2019 12:41

See this is why I should always trust my mum! Blossom the cow it is and not suitable for a child. Thank you all Smile back to the traditional name game again.

It's not a name that will grow with your child.

Newyearsameoldshit · 23/06/2019 12:45

I like it, but think it might be more suited to a middle name - it's a bit cutsie for a teen/adult.

BlueMerchant · 23/06/2019 12:48

Awful. Cow.

AshQ · 23/06/2019 12:51

I actually like it. Does remind of the Powerpuff Girls though.

Sophronia · 23/06/2019 17:19

Fine as a middle name.

BethanyGilbert · 23/06/2019 17:24

I like Blossom and Bliss. Sadly not for real life but I can day dream.

Krisskrosskiss · 23/06/2019 17:27

I really like it. Reminds me of the 90s TV show!

diddlediddle · 23/06/2019 19:13

I like it too but I know I am in the minority. Middle name though for sure.

VashtaNerada · 23/06/2019 19:16

Reminds of the TV show. The actress who played her is cool though! I think it was also the name of someone’s grandma in Eastenders.

EdWinchester · 23/06/2019 19:17

It's terrible. Utterly mimsy.

BackforGood · 23/06/2019 19:38

Well, I was going to say horse, but cow fits too Grin

autumnkate · 23/06/2019 21:06

I like it a lot

TurnAroundWhenPossible · 23/06/2019 21:09

Blossom!? For a human child? Just no.

CaptainCabinets · 24/06/2019 18:16

Noooo!

Although DP has an aunt who changed her name to Blossom in her 40s and now insists people call her by the hideous nn ‘Blossie’ Envy (not envy!)

Cringe.

Knittedfairies · 24/06/2019 18:29

No. I've not heard 'Drop 'em Blossom' for years but your post made me think of it!

Skyejuly · 24/06/2019 21:46

I love it but I honestly cant imagine ever using it. Maybe a middle name

Ohyesiam · 24/06/2019 21:46

Too ponyish.

GoFiguire · 24/06/2019 21:49
