Middle name for boy twin

boodles101 · 18/06/2019 09:33

I'm having boy/girl twins and we can't settle on a middle name for the boy. Me and DH have very different opinions on names, I like plain traditional and he likes different, out there, movie/TV style names.
We already have a son called Will Hendricks P.

Girl twin will be Erin Rose P
Boy will be Alex ...... P

Our surname is quite unusual and people find it hard to say/pronounce so an easy first name is what we've gone with.
If I had my way it would be Alex James but clearly I'm not getting my way.

Any suggestions that you think could go with Alex and please both of us?

Alexander Jamison P
Alexander Ignatius P
Alexander Saul P

It's a middle name, for all it'll be used you could call him Alexander SponsoredbyCbeebies P.

James is lovely

Modestandatinybitsexy · 18/06/2019 10:17

You could go classic but unusual:
Alex Gideon P.
Alex Benedict P.
Alex Quentin P.
Alex Reuben P.

Or you could go male flower name to link with Rose:
Alex Bud P.
Alex Florian P.
Alex Rowan P.

I like James too, it flows well with Alex.

I love Jude but DH isn't keen.
I'll show him the classic/unusual names later and see what he thinks.

Divgirl2 I know it'll be hardly used which is why I stupidly gave DH the option to chose it but the names he's picking are just truly awful! His 2 favourites are Ragnar and Ivar biggun Hmm

My husband wanted to call our little boy Thomas Rex - T. rex for short not awful but not my but we did Thomas jack after his grandfather who passed ... any grandads you could name the baby after?

No grandads to name after as both of us had disappearing fathers.

Axel Rose

Our surname ends in an O sound, so think Ivo would be too much. That goes for all sorts of names like Leo, Theo etc.

I love Rafe too, was on my list for first name but again DH not keen.

Alex Ivan

Or how about a traditional sounding name but with an unusual quirky spelling?
I normally pity children with weirdly spelt names, but if it’s a middle name then the child won’t have to spell it out to people all the time and very few people actually know a child’s middle name.

Alex James flows nicely and you have.the option on AJ as a nickname. I also liked to idea of Tate. Alex Christian (AC) sounds nice too.

What about Ellis

boodles101 · 19/06/2019 17:26

Quinn is a good shout cos we originally had that down as a unisex first name when we didn't know what we were having so I know he likes it!
