What do you think of the name Juliet? We have a Clara already.
Also what do you think would work as a middle name? I like vintage / classic-y type names, but am not too worried about how popular or unusual they are.

Goodness me it’s 2am I guess I should sleep now!

I love Juliet, although personally I prefer the Juliette spelling for this name. I think it is an elegant, classic, timeless name.
I think Julie is a nice nickname (even though lots would think it is dated) and I like Ette and Jette too.
I think I 3 syllable name goes well with a one or 2 syllable middle name - Eva, Elaina, Mae, Maeve, Anne, Rose, Elsie...those kind of names.

MerryMarigold · 12/06/2019 04:12

I live Juliet, Judith and Julia. She'd probably be Jules. In the middle, iv think one syllable sounds good but there aren't many around. Personally I like middle names to be about meaning, either the meaning of the name or a reason eg. Family name, grand parents bestowed the name, mum's maiden name or whatever.

userabcname · 12/06/2019 04:22

Love Juliet! It's a beautiful name. Vintagey names makes me think Pearl, Tabitha, Elsie, Agnes, Vera but not sure how well they flow with Juliet.

Bellaposey · 12/06/2019 04:49

Love Juliet and it's probably our top choice if we have another DD.

How about
Juliet Isabelle
Juliet Emmeline
Juliet Autumn

I agree with PP. I try to use middle names with some meaning I.e. family names. Maybe have a look through your family tree for some inspiration?

Juliet Francine is beautiful.
I had Juliette as our top girls name choice but we had a little boy instead.

spanishwife · 12/06/2019 14:37

I think it's beautiful!

I personally don't like middle names, never used, pain in the arse for paperwork for the rest of her life.

DramaAlpaca · 12/06/2019 14:40

Juliet is gorgeous & will be lovely with Clara.

It's a totally different name than Juliette, with a different pronunciation. Juliette has the stress on the last syllable, whereas Juliet traditionally has the stress on the first. I'd pick the spelling depending on how you want it to be pronounced.

I like Juliet Alice & Juliet Eve.

MerryMarigold · 12/06/2019 16:49

Juliet Frances is lovely

WittyFool · 13/06/2019 00:43

Also have Josephine after my Grandmother (see other thread) but put off by someone pointing out the JJ aspect

Thanks so much for the help- definitely getting closer to a decision !
