Am expecting twins, Unknown genders and really need name ideas!
So far have:

Ivy and Violet (too similar sounding?!)
Astrid and X
Matilda and X
MIscha and X(what is the verdict on Mischa- OH loves it)
Finn and Milo
Lyra and X

Any feedback to help match would be fab, short on boys names, similar suggestions VERY welcome as we are at a complete loss (favouring Ivy and Violet but for only if GG ofc)

Lyra and Astrid? Both quote cool.

Ivy and violet go together nicely I think!

Finn and Milo also very cool!

I like all your names except Mischa :)

AuntieStella · 04/06/2019 22:52

I like the sound of boy twins called Michael and Alexander, and nicknamed Misha and Sasha

More boy suggestions:

Elijah and Ezra
Noah and Ethan
Simon and Nicholas
Finn and Elliott

If G/B

Violet and Bertie (Albert?)
Ivy and Brian
Mathilda and Richard
Lyra and Xander

This is what I would choose for twins if I gave birth tomorrow.....

Theodore Nelson James (Nelson after my grandpa)
Beatrice Effie May (Effie after my Grandma)

Theo and Bea for short.

2 boys would be

Theo
Zeke

Zeke Benjamin David (after my brothers)

2 girls would be

Beatrice
Annabel

Annabel Francesca Grace

BentBaastard · 04/06/2019 22:55

Brian is a terrible name.

Bellaposey · 04/06/2019 22:57

I love lots of your names!
Ivy, Astrid, Matilda or Lyra are all really great names as are Finn and Milo. I think all have a similar 'feel' and go well together.

BentBaastard · 04/06/2019 22:57

Just some suggestions

Saxby and Felix
Monty and Sam
Elijah and Micah
Ezra and Daniel

Darcy and Erin
Marnie and Belinda
Lucy and Lydia
Jasmin and Melody

TurquoiseAndPurple · 04/06/2019 23:02

Mischa is my favorite on your list but not that spelling. I have a female friend named Misha and a male friend named Micha. Prefer either of those. Also love Astrid!

Tillygetsit · 04/06/2019 23:46

My faves would be
Misha and Lyra
Micah and Eli
Micah and Lyra

Astronica · 05/06/2019 00:49

Ivy and Violet are lovely names, and while sounding similar I don't think they are too close to use. However I think Matilda and Violet sound better as each is more distinct.

So I really like as pairs:

Ivy and Violet
Matilda and Violet
Matilda and Astrid

Finn and Milo

Astrid and Milo
Astrid and Finn
Matilda and Finn
Violet and Finn

Mischa and Lyra are okay, but I think the other names on your list are better. Other boy ideas: Rafe, Hugo, Magnus, Rufus, August, Oscar, Kiefer, Griffin, Nico.

manicinsomniac · 05/06/2019 01:27

I think you could pair up any of your choices to be honest - they all work well together.

I think Ivy and Violet are fine together and really like Finn and Milo as a pair.

Astrid and ...

Romilly, Saffron, Honor, India, Juliet, Tamara
Felix, Robin, Harley, Jesse, Xaver

Matilda and ...

Abigail, Arabella, Charlotte, Felicity, Rebecca, Sophia, Georgina
Alexander, Nicholas, Patrick, Joshua, Joseph, Gabriel

Mischa and ...

Alexis, Sasha, Danika, Anoushka, Erica, Ingrid
Artem, Bruno, Rory, Solomon, Raphael

Lyra and ...

Erin, Seren, Delphi, Elise, Bronte, Zara, Posy, Nadia, Cleo, Verity
Arlo, Christian, Ezra, Phineas, Rafi, Monty, Reuben, Zach

Bluerussian · 05/06/2019 01:53

X is an interesting choice, not come across that before.

I think all your names are lovely. Good luck with your twins Smile

Whatareyoutalkingabout · 05/06/2019 03:50

Astrid and Lyra are both amazing! Strong and uncommon. I love them! (Astrid is NOT 'try hard'. There's always one person that says that about any slightly uncommon but really cool name. I think it means "i wouldn't be brave enough to use it so I hope nobody else does either" Grin )

Ivy and Violet are also lovely but both slightly at risk of becoming the new Lily and Ava (at least in my area). If the popularity doesn't bother you then this is a cute pair too!

Boys - Finn and Milo are sweet. maybe a little insubstantial? But nice enough, and go well together. Smile

Penny4Thoughts · 05/06/2019 06:18

Ivy Lyra milo & Finn are all amazing so there you are job done Grin

Juliet is a little more different than Violet if that appeals

TatianaLarina · 05/06/2019 14:22

Love Mischa.

Mischa and Dimitri or Finn
Mischa and Violet or Romilly
Violet and Beatrice or Phoebe

Pinkvoid · 05/06/2019 14:31

I’d have Ivy and Astrid.

Mischa is lovely and definitely my favourite on your list.
Matilda (really like, but wouldn't pair it with Mischa)
Violet - ok name, but not to my taste
Ivy - really don't like (makes me think of poison Ivy)
Lyra - lovely name - I would pair this with Mischa
Astrid - ok name

Finn - really like it
Milo - can't get the tweenies out of my head

Soraya
Scarlett
Franca
Neve
Brooke
Lois
Eliza
Laurel

Rocco
Reid
Fraser
Jared
Cooper
Lincoln
Hudson
Luca
Micah

NeverSayFreelance · 05/06/2019 18:13

Ivy and Violet
Finn and Milo

I like these combos! I think Finn and Ivy work well together too.

I like Mischa. It's unisex as well. Mischa Barton, Misha Collins (although his is short for Dmitri).

IggyAce · 05/06/2019 18:22

Some suggestions for boys:
Ezekiel
Isaiah
Lucian

Theresomethingaboutdairy · 05/06/2019 18:31

I like a lot of your name choices OP but hate Mischa and not too keen on Milo.

I love ivy and violet together. If I had twins tomorrow they would be called;

Isabella Florence
Violet Rose

Henry Joseph
Alexander James

Or a combination of the above!

MikeUniformMike · 05/06/2019 19:14

Ivy and Violet (too similar sounding?!) - don't like Ivy, and Violet will be Vile-et
Astrid and X - yes. Astrid is pretty popular.
Matilda and X - maybe. Matilda is very popular though.
MIscha and X(what is the verdict on Mischa- OH loves it) - Mischa is ok - boy's name.
Finn and Milo - not keen on either really.
Lyra and X - not keen on Lyra.

TatianaLarina · 06/06/2019 09:13

Violet is pronounced Vi uh let not Vile et.
