Have already decided on Rudy.
Middle names Rudy ray, Rudy Raymond, or Rudy Rocco?

They all sound like cartoon character names

Elphabaisnotwicked · 03/06/2019 09:49

I like Rudy, but I don’t like any of your middle names

BillyAndTheSillies · 03/06/2019 09:50

Love Rudy!
The middle names are a bit rhyme-y but it's not double barrelled so you can use any of them, they'll rarely be said out loud.

Canone · 03/06/2019 10:12

I like the Raymond combo best. You need something a bit more formal sounding with Rudy I think.

How about Rudy Robert or Rudy Raphael?

CassianAndor · 03/06/2019 10:38

Rudy is great but not with an 'R' middle name.

tiramisu1 · 03/06/2019 10:39

Is this a joke? Grin

Watersnail · 03/06/2019 11:00

Raymond

Whatareyoutalkingabout · 03/06/2019 16:03

Rudy is amazing, but not with another 'R' middle name - that would really ruin it. Can't you choose another letter?

TheRedFox · 03/06/2019 16:09

I think that Rudy followed by an "R" surname is far too cutesy for a boy, or for a girl, for that matter.

DramaAlpaca · 03/06/2019 16:28

I don't like Rudy anyway, but it sounds really silly with those middle names. Sorry.

lavenderblues · 03/06/2019 16:50

It really sounds like a (rude) comic book character, sorry.

mummyhaschangedhername · 03/06/2019 16:59

Truthfully, I really dislike them all but then I don't like, Rudy either. Sorry. Why the need for two R letter names? Pleas don't tell me your surname begins with a R too?

EnglishRose1320 · 03/06/2019 16:59

What about

Rudy George
Rudy Joseph
Rudy James
Rudy Gabriel

daisypond · 03/06/2019 17:00

Rudy as short for Rudolph I like, not as a name itself. Raymond is best out of your middle names.

JaneGlorianaVillanueva · 03/06/2019 18:45

Rudy is cool! Hmm I have to be honest I dont think its goes well with any of your options but if I had to choose I think maybe Raymond. Definitely not Rudy Ray.

georgiams · 03/06/2019 19:56

Sorry I couldn't work out how to reply on the app. Doesn't have to begin with an R, one I just liked the other after a family member. Will have a good think and come back with some more! Thanks for the advice Grin

Let's hope he can pronounce his Rs properly if you go double R.

I love Rudy - not keen on middle names mentioned but depending on surnames I think a one syllable one aounds good eg

Rudy Jack
Rudy Max

georgiams · 03/06/2019 20:15

Think we will be steering away from the double R's I do like the idea of one syllable with the surname Grin

heymammy · 03/06/2019 20:29

My eldest is Rudy Frances (she's a girl) and I agree about avoiding the double 'R' scenario

Sessy19 · 03/06/2019 22:48

I think the alliteration is an awesome addition. Rudy Ray is a biiiiit too nicknamey, but it still works. Rudy Rocco also sounds a bit casual, but I like it.

We’ve also got Rudy at the top of our (short) list, but with William as a middle name for both granddads. You can have it though, if you like 😂😁 (joking mumsnet, I don’t ‘own’ the name, I know, I know) since I’m pretty sure I’m having a girl 😊
