  1. Well mine is. Grin
Mouthfulofquiz · 02/06/2019 12:31

I know one that is 5 and one that is 55! Works for both!

DonkeyHohtay · 02/06/2019 12:31

We live in Scotland and the Alistairs/Alastairs I know are 50, 46, 26, 16, 13, 11 and 4.

It's ageless.

Notonthestairs · 02/06/2019 12:31

Actually I've got another one arriving at my house in 15 minutes and he's 48.

JurassicGirl · 02/06/2019 12:32

Lovely name, only know one who i went to school with so he's now 36 but I think of him as a child of primary school age.

EmrysAtticus · 02/06/2019 12:34

Well so far it looks as though you agree with me that it is an ageless name :)

I know one in his early 70s and two who are both just under 10. (NI here).

EssentialHummus · 02/06/2019 12:40

One 2.5, one 70ish.

Penny4Thoughts · 02/06/2019 12:41

I’d prob guess 40s or under 5s

daisypond · 02/06/2019 12:42

Any age.

LarkDescending · 02/06/2019 13:06

The ones I know (in London) are 11, 40 and 48.

LarkDescending · 02/06/2019 13:11

...and have just remembered another who is 49.

99bb · 02/06/2019 13:22

Any. LOVE that name!

Greenteandchives · 02/06/2019 13:24

Mine is an Alasdair. Lovely name. 30 something.

Aimily · 02/06/2019 13:25

Almost 5 months, my cousins little boy born in January, I also know a couple in their 20s and 30s, I think it's quite an ageless name.

Thallo · 02/06/2019 16:42

I know four of them and they all spell their name differently.

StoatofDisarray · 02/06/2019 16:44

About 70 but I quite like the name!

pilates · 02/06/2019 16:48

40-50

Sophronia · 02/06/2019 16:59

I’d guess 40s.

DestinyIsCallingMe · 02/06/2019 17:52

The only ones I’m aware of are aged 50+ - colleagues and then politicians like Alastair Campbell and Alastair Darling. So I instantly associate it with an older age.

But it’s a great name, and I’m sure I’d get used to it on a child pretty quickly if I met one.

DestinyIsCallingMe · 02/06/2019 17:53

People may associate the name with an older age because the only people they have come across with the name are that age - but that doesn’t mean they won’t like it on a child if they meet one.

AmyMaria2 · 02/06/2019 18:02

50+

BikeRunSki · 02/06/2019 18:05

Any age.

My favourite is actually an Alasdair, he is mid 40s.

septembersunshine · 02/06/2019 18:21

badg3r · 02/06/2019 23:02
