Alastair - how old?

If you picture an Alastair how old are they in your head? Just being nosey really!

12. Well mine is.

I know one that is 5 and one that is 55! Works for both!

We live in Scotland and the Alistairs/Alastairs I know are 50, 46, 26, 16, 13, 11 and 4.

It's ageless.

Actually I've got another one arriving at my house in 15 minutes and he's 48.

Lovely name, only know one who i went to school with so he's now 36 but I think of him as a child of primary school age.

Well so far it looks as though you agree with me that it is an ageless name :)

I know one in his early 70s and two who are both just under 10. (NI here).

Mine is an Alasdair. Lovely name. 30 something.

Almost 5 months, my cousins little boy born in January, I also know a couple in their 20s and 30s, I think it's quite an ageless name.

I know four of them and they all spell their name differently.

About 70 but I quite like the name!

I’d guess 40s.

The only ones I’m aware of are aged 50+ - colleagues and then politicians like Alastair Campbell and Alastair Darling. So I instantly associate it with an older age.

But it’s a great name, and I’m sure I’d get used to it on a child pretty quickly if I met one.

People may associate the name with an older age because the only people they have come across with the name are that age - but that doesn’t mean they won’t like it on a child if they meet one.

My favourite is actually an Alasdair, he is mid 40s.

I know one. He is 5 and also goes by Al. Its a good name!

I know some who are 60s, 30s and toddlers. It's an amazing name!!
