Sorry for a new thread, I can’t find the old one, we really like Callie, but Callie Ashley is a bit of a mouthful and we aren’t chasing her middle name because it is a family name, we were think Callie-Grace or Callie-Rose but does anyone know any other names we could nickname to Callie?

Calliope and Caroline I think are the main ones. You should just keep it as Callie, it’s beautiful on its own and people won’t be saying her first and middle name together very often

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 28/05/2019 10:34

The one in Gray’s Anatomy was a Calliope.

I had an aunt called that, she was knows as Lola though.,

taylorlynn · 28/05/2019 10:35

Callandre is what my friend is called pronounced - Cal-arn-dra

mothertobe789 · 28/05/2019 10:35

My niece is called Callie, not short for anything. You could just use Callie on its own.

huuskymam · 28/05/2019 10:36

Calista

longnight · 28/05/2019 10:36

We use it as a short form for calista

crumpet · 28/05/2019 10:37

The only Callie I know was a Caroline, which is quite an underused name at the moment I think

calpop · 28/05/2019 10:37

Callista?

Marinkazurie · 28/05/2019 10:43

You could probably get away with using it for Camellia too

OhhMyLittleGirls · 28/05/2019 10:44

I think Callie is gorgeous on its own, its a name in its own right

EgremontRusset · 28/05/2019 10:49

Cailin
Calluna (secret crush on this as a name)
Clarissa?

Biscuitsneeded · 28/05/2019 10:52

Caroline, Calista, Camilla, Callia

Aragog · 28/05/2019 10:56

Carolyn and Caroline are the full names of two people o know of who shorten it to Callie.

lmlm123 · 28/05/2019 11:00

I'm not sure it's a shortening, more of a nickname, but my friends DD is called Calia, and we call her Callie?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 28/05/2019 11:02

I love Callie Grace.
Calicia. Callia. Calista. Calliope. Calina.

Sophronia · 28/05/2019 11:20

Caroline
Calliope
Callista
Catherine (I know a Katherine who goes by Kally)
Calandra
Calanthe
Calla
Calanthia
Callia

Teddybearhunter · 28/05/2019 11:26

Camille
Cecilia
Catalina
Colette
Cordelia
Coraline
Caitlin
Calandra
Charlotte
Clarabelle
Coralie

I realise some of these are a stretch but I doubt anyone will question it if you find something you love.

Also you could use first and middle to create the nickname - I.e Cassia Lily = Callie
This would give you millions of options

Teddybearhunter · 28/05/2019 11:31

Sorry just seen you’ve chosen Ashleigh as the middle name - this works really well & would create Callie with any C first name - my favourites:
Cassandra Ashleigh = Callie
Cadence Ashleigh
Catriona Ashleigh

Teddybearhunter · 28/05/2019 11:34

Colette Ashleigh flows really nicely

I really don’t like hyphenated names I think they manage to make even the most classy names look really cheap & tacky - Obvs im just a random interneter though !

Divgirl2 · 28/05/2019 13:06

Don't hyphenate! Hyphenated names will age terribly, and every second screaming child in Asda is a something-rose or a somebody-grace.

I like Calliope (cal-EYE-opey), or Calista. I also think Callie on its own is fine, but a full name gives options.

Preggers86 · 28/05/2019 14:04

Callie is a beautiful name may have to add it to my list. I would say that if you were using it as a nn then it would be short for Calista x

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 28/05/2019 19:34

Calliope

Pinkarsedfly · 28/05/2019 19:37

Cara.

Sally originated as a surname for Sarah, so Cally for Cara works well.

Pinkarsedfly · 28/05/2019 19:37

Sorry, Callie.

MikeUniformMike · 30/05/2019 09:27

Prefer it spelt Cally. Short for Caroline.
