Tried and true. Makes me think of River Phoenix who had a sad death at a young age but it’s a nice name.

Even with the River Phoenix connection I would be inclined to view it as a girl's name, I do like it though.

I love it, it's on my list for a future girl but I like it for boys and girls, my entire girl list is quite masculine

I think River Phoenix. It’s a bit tired and dated with too much wannabe hippy about it for me. But it’s OK. I think the name of an actual river might be better perhaps.

I know a little boy called River, it's cute & suits him. His mum calls him Rivs quite often which sounds nice too.
