Boys name ideas

I’m 28 weeks pregnant with our first baby, so far we like the names Jude, Billy and Oscar but none of them seem to stand out. Any ideas?

I really like Billy. In fact I LOVE Bill even more. William nn Billy or Bill is a great name.

Oscar I'm not keen on as it reminds me of dogs. Jude is nice.

I like all three although I prefer Jude and Oscar. Love Oscar!

Only just remembered I posted this!. Billy would just be Billy and not William (very unmumsnetty of me but we don’t see the point in giving him two names as it will just cause confusion).

We also like Samuel and Joseph but not Joe or Sam, same goes for Joshua, we love Joshua but don’t like Josh.

Otis is a fabulous name too!

Otis doesn’t go with our last name unfortunately. I like Leo and Eli.

Ooh and milo is lovely too! Does your last name have lots of syllables? Then we can help with the flow of the name :)

Our last name is just one syllable and starts with S. So names ending in an ‘S’ sound don’t flow well.

I like Caspar.

Billy is cute and I agree that it bears little resemblance to William, it doesn't even start with the same letter! So yes, I'd also just use Bill or Billy.
