I started a threat a while ago about Charlotte and Florence and since then I am finding myself adding to the list, so any help narrowing this down would be much appreciated!
Florence - like with nn Flossie or Flo, but concerned it's a bit faddy
Charlotte - lovely classic but very popular
Harriet - love with nicknames Harri or Hattie but concerned it could sound a bit frumpy or masculine?
Louisa - beautiful classic but might just get called Lou or Louise all the time which ruins the beauty of it

What do you all think? If you have the name yourself it would be helpful to hear if you like it! I often think names that people want as little girls are different to what we would like to be as adults. I want to find a name that works across all ages.

I like Harriet best. It's an underused classic with great nn potential. Hattie for a baby, Harri if she's a tomboy, Harriet for when she's PM.

Louisa is nice. Very underused, but I think that's because it's so 80's and those names haven't had a resurgence yet! I like Lou or LuLu or Izzy as a nn.

Florence is lovely, but I'm not keen on the nn's and it is very popular ATM.

Charlotte is a perfectly nice name, but it's one of those that I have an irrational hatred for. I just think it's bland, overused and I don't like any of the nn (Lottie is the absolute worst imo).

My Louisa has never complained about her name (and she's a teenager, so moans about lots of other things!) The only tiny drawback has been that you don't always find named souvenirs (bookmarks, bracelets etc) whereas they always have her sister's name - but that is a minor quibble, and she's over it now!

Definitely Louisa. I know one who goes by Lula.

Louisa is gorgeous.

Harriet is my clear favourite of those, but they're all good. Louisa would be my 2nd choice because it's so little used but feels classic. I see Louisa as quite a different name to Louise which is quite dated and dull to me.

Louisa.

I like the nn Louie.

Really surprised by how popular Louisa is on here seeing as it's not popular at all in the name stats. I think it's lovely and I'm living the nicknames Louie or Isa. I can't help shortening names.
Also liking Harriet as I think Harri for a girl is really cool.

Louisa is gorgeous and isn't a 1980s name at all - according to the ONS its 20th century peak was in 1905! I love it.
