Due in 3 days me and DH have had a name for our little girl since 17 weeks. We both like it just wondering what others think.. haven't heard of anyone around where I live but aware it may become common (hope not!!)

Scarlett

I really like it, congratulations Flowers

I know one and have met two in the last year. It's probably the baby name I've heard most often, but not by a large margin.

OldAndWornOut · 10/05/2019 17:07

It's lovely.
I do know a Scarlett and she is beautiful.

Megan2018 · 10/05/2019 17:07

I know of 2 born in the last 18 months, so not rare here but not overly used either.
It's not my cup of tea personally but you should use the name you love.

zen1 · 10/05/2019 17:08

I know a couple of Scarletts in our primary school. I think it’s nice.

FizzBuzzBangWoof · 10/05/2019 17:09

I like it

There are a handful around at various ages from 0 to 21 where I live but it's a name which still feels 'fresh' IMO as has never hit mega popular levels

Really nice. I only know one who is nearly 3

Isth · 10/05/2019 20:25

Do it. I know a few, but that’s still hardly common.

Does remind me of Scarlett O’Hara of Tara tho!

LuckyLou7 · 10/05/2019 20:28

Beautiful name for a beautiful girl.

Sexnotgender · 10/05/2019 20:29

I used to work with a Scarlett, she was lovely. Great name.

MercyBodle · 10/05/2019 23:21

I think it's a lovely name.

YourWinter · 10/05/2019 23:28

I love the name, associating it with Scarlett O'Hara, it seems to be more popular since the lovely girl from Gogglebox (Scarlett Moffatt) has been on other TV programmes!

GreyBirds · 11/05/2019 00:02

I definitely don’t think it will become more popular than it is at the moment! All that matters is that you like it for your little girl x

Whoops75 · 11/05/2019 00:09

I like it too

I would go for a traditional second name so it doesn’t take from it.
Eg
Scarlett Catherine
rather than
Scarlett mai

MarieToulouseBerlioz · 11/05/2019 00:15

Love it! Very pretty

DramaAlpaca · 11/05/2019 00:21

It makes me think of the feisty heroine of Gone With the Wind.

I'm glad you are going with the Scarlett spelling rather than Scarlet.
