Do you think Justin is a good baby boy name?

Anyone else really want to know the taxi driver joke?

AgentCooper · 09/05/2019 20:04

I quite like it! Mr Tumble connection aside.

Justin Trudeau, he’s a good Justin.

MikeUniformMike · 09/05/2019 20:23

Justin Elliott.

janeybumtum · 09/05/2019 20:25

Straight away I think bieber

PantsyMcPantsface · 09/05/2019 20:30

Justin Fletcher is on everything on cbeebies - it's going to be inescapable for years with the link. Hell the guy even is a tweenie and voice in Shaun the sheep

Saturdaycartoon · 09/05/2019 20:30

It's a perfectly respectable name and more classic than dated, derives from Latin and prevalent in the Middle Ages. Good luck with it OP.

Sophronia · 09/05/2019 21:40

I prefer Justus.

AuntieStella · 09/05/2019 21:44

I take it the rude joke is the small dick one?

It tainted it as a name for me completely.

Wasn't the mankind-leotard wearing lead singer of The Darkness a Justin? Really not a rock n roll name.

How about Julian ?

Justlikedevon · 09/05/2019 22:27

Mr tumble.
Although I know an incredibly cool hipster type who is 23 who rocks it.

Justwanttotravel · 09/05/2019 22:42

FWIW I like it

KenDoddsDadsDog · 09/05/2019 22:44

It makes me think of League of Gentlemen “Justin,Justin my very own Justin”
But that’s a really old sketch.

Bumblebeesmum · 09/05/2019 23:44

Dated & not nice

Chocmallows · 09/05/2019 23:47

Just in case...think that everytime I hear the name.

user27495824 · 09/05/2019 23:49

My first thought was Timberlake. Then Beiber. Then Fletcher. What about Tristan?

holibab · 09/05/2019 23:52

Justin Sullivan is my hero.

Mr Tumble is awful, annoying and inescapable when you have a kid.

I also remember it being the rude punchline for a joke. You can guess what that might be.

No.

GlitterPixie · 10/05/2019 00:00

I immediately think of Justin Finch-Fletchley from Harry Potter and after that Justin Bieber. I think it’s a very dated name now too

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2019 01:04

I'm really sorry, but I think it's both dated & wet.

ThanksItHasPockets · 10/05/2019 07:02

Jasper?

FaFoutis · 10/05/2019 07:08

holibab he's my hero too.
I'm so looking forward to the new album tour.

Justin is a lovely name. There won't be others in his class.

abcriskringle · 10/05/2019 07:13

As a teen I used to daydream about calling my first son Justin....because I had a huge crush on Justin Timberlake! I didn't, in fact, give DS that name. I think it's ok though and not hugely popular either which lots of people like.

PinaColadaPlease · 10/05/2019 07:14

It is a reflection of my life that I think Fletcher before Timberlake or Beiber!

I don’t like it at all OP, sorry.

Flamingosnbears · 10/05/2019 10:19

Mr tumble and Justin's House are first thoughts...

tierraJ · 10/05/2019 10:37

Justin... Fletcher, Bieber, Timberlake.

It was a boys name when I was at school (80s, early 90s).
Also in Majorca I met a German couple with a toddler called Justin. All holiday it was 'Justin, Just-innnn!!!'.

So I'm not keen on the name.

ItProtectsMyHead · 10/05/2019 23:39

I like it. It's one of the few names DH has actually suggested (all other suggestions have come from me, my mum and MIL).

I've only ever met one. I'd use it if you like it, we're seriously considering it Smile

HundredMilesAnHour · 10/05/2019 23:46

I like it. I think it's 'not popular' at the moment rather than dated. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's a good Latin (Roman actually) name so quite well recognised in other cultures, and has a saint's day etc. I know a couple of Justin's but no children with the name.
