I have been brain storming names for baby number 4.. i have 2 daughters (neither have royal names), and a son william. I really like both Harry and Henry, but do you think it would be a bit ridiculous having 2 sons called william and harry Or william and henry? Given that they are the prince names, or am I just overthinking that link too much. Im not sure if it would matter or not? Which one would be better to use if any? Thankyou!

I'd use Henry.

I don't think it matters but would sound less like Princes William and Harry.

Agree with previous poster. William and Henry are lovely together. You have great taste!

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 08/05/2019 19:58

Henry is prince Harry's real name but noone of your ds generation would know that

NuffSaidSam · 08/05/2019 20:16

Henry is fine. I wouldn't use Harry and William together although I like both names.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 08/05/2019 20:19

Don’t use Harry.

Whoops75 · 08/05/2019 20:23

Is William know as William or billy/Liam?

I’m not a big fan of Harry/Henry

What about

Charlie ( Charles)
Thomas (Tom)
James
Oscar

MikeUniformMike · 08/05/2019 20:26

Not Benjamin or Benedict or they'll be Bill and Ben.
I'd avoid Edward/Teddy too

Likeagibbon · 08/05/2019 21:17

Im suprised no one seems to think henry would be a problem Grin i like your list whoops75 william is know as william and his middle name is charlie so that one is out! Thomas was the other name we was considering for william when he was born actually but there seems to be lots of william and thomas sib sets ive heard of which kind of put me off. James is def out (family member i do not want baby named after) and oscar i do like alot but im not sure initials will work with o at the start. Thankyou though!
I had not considered bill and ben!! Haha!

Do people not realise Prince Harry’s real name is Henry? Surely that’s worse???

I love the name Henry & you’d get a few comments hear & there but I can’t see your children minding - by the time they’re in secondary school it’ll all be about George Louis & Charlotte

NuffSaidSam · 08/05/2019 23:58

I think lots of people know Harry's real name is Henry, but because he never, ever uses it the connection isn't there like it is with William and Harry.

SleepingStandingUp · 09/05/2019 00:00

Surely you have to go Edward??

Eminybob · 09/05/2019 00:20

I had this dilemma with naming DS2. DH and I both loved Harry but DS1 is William. We seriously considered it and asked people in real life and on here and although loads said it was fine, the majority went straight to the royal connection so we vetoed it.
We went with Alexander instead.

RomanyQueen1 · 09/05/2019 00:26

Ha Ha we did too. Dh grandad was Harry and we really wanted it but the idea of people asking or presuming it was after royalty was enough to choose Thomas. Grin

Did consider George but thought better because of georgy porgy.

PlatypusLeague · 09/05/2019 07:00

I would think of the princes.

William and
Oliver
Jacob
Felix
Theodore
Andrew
Samuel
Nicholas
Jonathan
Isaac
Alexander
Richard
Nathaniel
Luke
Austin
Gabriel
Michael
Aidan
Julian
Peter

Whoops75 · 09/05/2019 08:23

My dd 3 has the same name as ds1 second name.

It’s not a problem, Charlie is lovely

daisypond · 09/05/2019 08:44

I would think of the princes too. But I do like Henry. Alexander, Edward, Edmund, Louis?
