Boy's name, can't decide!

Hi, DS2 is due in 10 days and for the life of us, we can't make a decision on his name!

DS1 is called Chase and we like American/Australian sounding names, due to DP's background. I'm really not keen on "traditional"/British names such as George/Edward/Joshua, etc.. It gets more complicated as I'm a teacher so the majority of names that DP/other people come up with have connections to children that I've taught before!

We have been been trying to come up with a short list for months now, and are left with these 5, but I'm still looking for ones to add.

Joel
Mitchell
Nate (I think this is my favourite, but it's DP's least favourite)
Heath
Brody/Brodie

Any other suggestions?

Moongirl10 · 06/05/2019 22:35

I like all of those except Mitchell. Nate and Brody are my favourites.

Marmite27 · 06/05/2019 22:36

I don’t think you could have Chase and Hunter as a PP suggested

Shylo · 06/05/2019 22:36

My American colleague has a son called bennett .... sounds quite sweet with Chase

ClumsyMcMumsy · 06/05/2019 22:37

Linus
Monty
Spike

I’m a teacher too and these are all names I’ve admired of children I’ve taught but wouldn’t be brave enough to use myself! Grin

WonderingAndOverthinking · 06/05/2019 22:38

@RumpoleoftheBaileys I can't do Ryder because of the Paw Patrol connection (which I wasn't bloody aware of when we had DS1 Hmm) and Chase means Hunter, so don't really want to use that either, it's so difficult!
Thanks though Thanks

My fantasy American sons are called Chase and Reid.

WonderingAndOverthinking · 06/05/2019 22:40

I think Nate is my favourite, but only Nate (not Nathan or Nathaniel) but it's the one DP isn't sure about!

Thanks everyone, there's a few on those lists that I can't use due to family/friends using them first and a few with negative connections for me, but I'll share them with DP and see what he thinks Thanks
