Do these names sound right together?

We currently have a five year old son, Isaac and I am currently 20 weeks pregnant with our second. We haven't found out if it's a boy or a girl as we want a surprise. There is only one boy's name that I like this time round which is Jacob. It isn't my boyfriend's first choice but he's said he's happy to with it if he can choose the girl's name and he's chosen Zoe. I do really like the name so have been happy with this but after having a think I don't know whether "Isaac and Zoe" sounds weird or slightly awkward to say, I think it's the two Z sounds that's throwing me off although DP thinks I'm being mental and can't see what I'm on about. I don't want to veto his name while insisting on my choice for the boy name, especially when I do like Zoe so thought I'd get other opinions. Can you see what I'm on about or would it literally not cross your mind?

JeantheHipster · 28/04/2019 16:51

They're fine together. I like Zoe.

MikeUniformMike · 28/04/2019 16:51

They go fine together.
Isaac and Zoe sound lovely as sibling names.

00100001 · 28/04/2019 16:52

They're fine

Cornishmum00 · 28/04/2019 16:58

You're overthinking it. They sound fine together.

Two lovely names, go well together.

Thanks all, that's really helpful to get some outside perspective.

They go really well together.

EvilDog · 28/04/2019 17:22

I think they sound ok together.

Try switching it round and saying Zoe and Issac if it helps. Sounds even better!

Icklepup · 28/04/2019 17:33

Sounds fine!

AnotherRubberDuck · 28/04/2019 22:09

I think Isaac and Zoe go fine.
Isaac and Jacob, however, very biblical sounding if you weren't aware. Jacob was Isaac's son in the Bible.

bridgetreilly · 28/04/2019 23:06

Yeah, I wouldn't have Jacob and Isaac as brothers, personally. Sounds super creepy incesty to me. Sorry.

Isaac and Zoe is lovely, though.

mathanxiety · 28/04/2019 23:20

They sound great together.

Both options are lovely and go well with Isaac.
Jacob and Isaac is not a bit 'incesty' Hmm

PlatypusLeague · 28/04/2019 23:25

Yes they are fine 🙂

MercyBodle · 29/04/2019 01:23

Isaac and Zoe are good together.

AnnieDianaLulu · 29/04/2019 08:14

I think they sound absolutely fine together Smile

BikeRunSki · 29/04/2019 08:16

Isaac and Zoe is fine, I know some.

Isaac and Jacob sounds OK as sounds, but the biblical connection would stop me using it.

Pepperwand · 29/04/2019 10:32

Hi the biblical connection is deliberate as I wanted a Hebrew boy's name due to husband and his family being Jewish.

Zoe means life and was adopted by the Greeks from Judaism as a variant of Eve, so you have a biblical link. Lovely name 😉

steppemum · 29/04/2019 10:38

Isaac and Zoe are lovely, sound good together, both nice names.

Isaac and jacob do sound quite old testament, but that is fine, they do not sound a bit incesty!!!
