Which one? I like them all.

Don't like Ammy, Sophie, or Vicky though? Is there another way to shorten them

I know Amelias who are Milly, and Lia.
And Victoria is often Tor, Tory or Toria, or just Vic.
I wouldn't shorten Sofia to Sophie, because to me they are different names. She'd probably be Soph, but mostly just Sofia.

MrsPandigital · 24/04/2019 19:20

Amelia is very common now (I'm a teacher and every class has at least 2) . Sofia is nice and can be shortened to Sof :) (pronounced Soph)

Lottie35 · 24/04/2019 19:50

Really dislike Victoria sounds very harsh
Sofia is pretty
Amelia is a bit wet

Bumblebeesmum · 24/04/2019 19:58

I love the name Amelia and have never heard Ammy
Sophia and Sofia combined are as popular as Amelia
Victoria is my least favourite but the least common so depends if that’s something that matters to you

I vote Amelia

canberramum · 24/04/2019 20:14

Millie is a nice nickname for Amelia.
I know a Sophia who goes by Fi.
Victoria could be Tori?

canberramum · 24/04/2019 20:29

Oops, I forgot to add my vote would be for Sophia

aibutohavethisusername · 24/04/2019 21:14

Victoria nn Tori

LordoftheRinse · 24/04/2019 21:15

Sofia is beautiful, much prefer this spelling to Sophia as well

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 24/04/2019 21:17

I knew a Victoria who went by Tori

Sophronia · 24/04/2019 22:43

I know Victorias who go by Vika and Ria.

PlatypusLeague · 24/04/2019 22:47

I like all three, especially Victoria with Tor as nickname. Sofia is lovely although I'd use the Sophia spelling.

ReindeerDream · 24/04/2019 22:48

I have an Amelia, we call her Milly for short!

sharpstick · 24/04/2019 22:53

Amelia, no. Way too many of them around and I dislike the mealy sound of the name. One of my least favourite names.

Sofia, my favourite of your list.

Victoria, it’s ok, it’s nice. Bit of a mouthful to use the full name, and Vicky is dated, though I know you don’t like that shortening anyway. Tor or Tori are great nicknames, there is no one cooler than Tori Amos!

LokiCat · 24/04/2019 22:58

I love the name Amelia. My niece is called Amelia and we call her Mia for short.
Sofia is very nice too, but not a fan of Victoria

implantsandaDyson · 24/04/2019 23:03

I have a teenage Sofia - she gets Fia sometimes, it's never been shortened or she hasn't been called by any other nickname by friends. It's only family that get away with Fia Grin

MercyBodle · 25/04/2019 04:29

Victoria is my favourite. I like Tory, Rory, Vika for short forms. The others are extremely popular. Sofia is second choice - Fia or Fifi is nice.

Happyandglorious · 25/04/2019 09:23

My friend's Sophia gets called fia -which sounds sweet imo
