Hi,
I am loving Maribel and the French meaning "star of the sea, beautiful" as we found out we were pregnant whilst holidaying at the beach.
The nickname we would use would be Belle.
But is this name a bit out there? I come from a very conservative family.
Any feedback appreciated 😀
Thanks

I think it’s ok- not my style but don’t dislike it

Another vote for 'Babybel', that's the first thought that came to mind

My friend Maribel is Spanish and her real name is Maria Isabel
I like the name because of her.
Also I think Mari is fab as a shortening

BellMcEnd · 22/04/2019 09:17

I really really like it

I like it a lot OP!

Maria+Isabel can be Maribel if you're scared to use Maribel.
Or I guess Mary Christabel or whatever you like

I wouid assume it was the place name, and that the baby had been conceived during a skiing holiday
