I don’t like Solomon, but love Sol. Is it usable on its own? Do you like it?

As in the beer? No I don't think so.

loveshinealight · 17/04/2019 21:28

What about Saul?

JenE1 · 17/04/2019 21:28

I think it's nice

Livedandlearned · 17/04/2019 21:29

I know a Sol and he 's lovely. His is short for Solomon, his whole family have biblical names.

AfterSchoolWorry · 17/04/2019 21:30

Yeah, use Saul. Sounds the same.

managedmis · 17/04/2019 21:30

Like the footy player?

SardineJam · 17/04/2019 21:31

I know of a 2 year old Sol - I really like it

Faster · 17/04/2019 21:32

Reminds me of Spanish hotel names.

HopeMatters · 17/04/2019 21:32

I like it but I'd use Saul.

Nnnnnineteen · 17/04/2019 21:32

Beer.

Jamhandprints · 17/04/2019 21:33

It means Sun in Spanish. Not a name really but I like it.

DrBuckles · 17/04/2019 21:35

I like it, and I like Solly (as in the Brighton footballer) but I think I’d have to go with Solomon as the full name to make it ‘right’ even if they were only known by a shortened version to be honest, but that’s just me.

Calixtine · 17/04/2019 21:44

Sol and Saul don’t sound the same to me. Don’t like Saul at all, weirdly.

I know one. But it’s short for Solomon....

MercyBodle · 17/04/2019 22:40

I prefer just Sol over Solomon.

NutMeghan · 18/04/2019 04:58

I like it.

I think your last name really needs to flow well with it though.

Smellslikemiddleagespirit · 18/04/2019 08:37

Costa Del!
Or maybe beer

In any case, no.

Saharasunset · 18/04/2019 22:27

I adore Sol! I know of a Sol who’s called Solly as a nn. He’s the cutest little blonde boy who can get away with anything!
