Baby boy name help?!!...

We are due our 2nd DS in July and we are finding it so difficult to name him.

Our first is called Oliver Edward and we had his name before we even conceived him.

We like the name Thomas but unfortunately my DH’s close friends are having a boy any day now and are also thinking of Thomas 🙄 typical!!

We like the names-

Maxwell
Edison
William (not keen on it shortened tho)

Has anyone got any thoughts on these names or have any other ideas??

I like Edison a lot. To me Thomas is a really wet name.

Really like Maxwell and William! Think Edison is a bit try hard personally. If you really like Thomas, it doesn’t sound like it’s much of a wait before you know if your friends have used it - hopefully they won’t!

I would choose Maxwell or Edison.

Not keen on the short forms for William either especially Will or Willy!

Robert. Rob, Robbie, Bob....

Edison is awful as is Thomas I like Tom though

It would be a toss up between Maxwell and Edison for me but I like unusual names. I had my eldest down as either Linton, Linden or Byron and as soon as he was in my arms it was "yep, he looks like a Byron".

Maxwell Edison was the murderer in the Beatles song ‘maxwells silver hammer’
Both names are fine but I’d think twice about pairing them up 🤣

I love Edison, different, but somehow still quite classic
