Can anyone give me any opinions on the name Enio for a boy? I love Enyo for a girl & so does my partner & we was struggling for a unique boys name that didn’t sound stupid which I came across that the same name can be used for both so just want some thoughts

My thought is just a big NO.

Neither of them sound like names, just four letters strung together. Sorry. There are so many unusual yet lovely names available.

Are they real names op?

It sounds like something I'd try and get away with near the end of a Scrabble game to be honest.

I guess any word is a name once your child is named. I wouldn't know how to pronounce that so expect to have to keep explaining and correcting people.

Ennio moriconi ((sp) is an Italian composer I believe. I haven't heard it used for children locally. I would think enya for a girl.

Enya was what I thought of, closely followed by "sail away".

Yes, to Ennio like Ennio Morricone, if you're Italian. Enio with one n just looks weird.

Ennio is fine if you are Italian (athough seriously old fashioned for Italians, and not in a cool way) but not Enio. Definitely not Enyo for a girl.

I prefer the spelling Ennio. Enio makes me think of onions for some reason!

I just looked up Enyo and found she was the Greek goddess of war, so learned something from this thread!

Yeah that’s where I got it from! As my partner liked Ares to start so I looked for a girl version & that was her name which I ended up really liking lol
