just heard this name and I think it sounds really princessy and gorgeous. I have two girls called Ella and Ava though so it wouldn’t really ‘go’. What does everyone think of it?

That’s the name of the witch from the northern lights trilogy

notharryssally · 15/04/2019 16:39

Not keen tbh. I would go for something less fussy like the two you already have.

zoellafort1tude · 15/04/2019 16:42

It's pretty but if you want something that goes better - how about Isla?

LittleMissMummaBear · 15/04/2019 17:06

Hi ladies, I’m actually pregnant with twin boys, but if they were girls, Seraphina was a name I was considering. Just wanted to make a thread to see if anyone else liked it for their bubs! x

I love it, as a previous poster said, it's the (nice) witch from northern lights' name.

Calixtine · 15/04/2019 19:48

Not for me, far too frilly.

MaryH90 · 15/04/2019 19:50

I loved this name but my DH said it sounded like the name of a cleaning product or Sanpro which is all I can associate it with now!

DramaAlpaca · 15/04/2019 19:52

It's a beautiful name but DH would've vetoed it & it's too long anyway. I like short, neat names.

WeepingWillowWeepingWino · 15/04/2019 19:53

My first thought was Seraphina Pekkala, one of the witches in Northern Lights, who was a great character. I like it!

ZebraKid71 · 15/04/2019 21:18

It's too frilly for me, I'd never heard it before but there are now two in dds swim class (she's almost 2)! I don't think their mums are impressed!

Corneliawildthing · 15/04/2019 21:21

I really like it but only with a short surname

MacavityTheDentistsCat · 15/04/2019 21:28

DD has a good friend named Seraphina. It's a gorgeous name. It often gets shortened to Fini (pronounced 'Feeny') on a day-to-day basis.

greenelephantscarf · 15/04/2019 21:32

I know one. called saphy for short.

LittleMissMummaBear · 15/04/2019 21:35

MaryH90 , that made me giggle! I think he has a point!

I think it's beautiful but a little fussy. Whilst I love the name I wouldn't want it for myself.

LettuceLeave · 16/04/2019 15:00

I love Sapphira more which is simlar. Saffy for short.

EleanorOalike · 16/04/2019 15:05

I love the name Seraphina and I also like Seraphine.
