I really love Rowan. It's a great name. But I'd pronounce it like "row the boat", not like "row/argument". The dictionary says it can be pronounced both ways but the "row the boat" pronunciation is first, so that's more typical. I know a couple of female Rowans, both pronounced this way. But I guess either is fine.

I like Rowan for a girl pronounced to rhyme with cow. I think in Scotland this is the normal pronouciation for a girl and widely accepted. The only men I know are rowan williams and to wan aitkinson and they obviously province it differently
