Strong girl names - suggestions please!

We're expecting DD1 in a few months and would love some suggestions for strong girl's names.

We have a double barrelled surname so don't want anything too fussy - DH says that growing up the DB surname led everyone to think he was "posh" and so doesn't want the same assumptions to be made for her.

All suggestions greatly appreciated!

Are you thinking unusual/ish or common?

Heratnumber7 · 29/03/2019 18:39

How would you define "strong" when applied to a name?

Lemonsquinky · 29/03/2019 18:39

Verity
Edith
Elizabeth
Laurel
Mallory
Alice

Hi @Mummyto2munchkins - Happy to hear everything and anything at this stage!

That said, it's fair to say that so far our choices haven't been too "out there" and are generally well known names that aren't used that frequently.

Definitely nothing youneeq and neither of us are keen on the granny vintage names.

@Heratnumber7

Sorry, it's difficult to articulate and so subjective!

Nothing too cutesy / girlie etc - hope that helps.

Imogen
Elin
Caitlin
Beatrice or Beatrix

Then we had 2 boys!
