Boys names - rate them

We still have a while to go but finding names very difficult. Nothing jumps out at me and most names just seem a bit common 🙈 but I don't really like anything too "out there " either ! These are ones I've been adding to a list that we both said we'd consider (but not loving any yet)

I'm in the same boat! We've settled on Tate atm but that could change.

I have a Finn so that is my favourite. We had Evan on our list and I suggested Cooper but DH vetoed, so those are my top 3

Max is my current favourite , I don't actually know any but when I checked the names list for babies born in Scotland last year it was #18 I think! So quite common .

Fletcher was my favourite for a while but I know my family aren't keen so it's putting me off a bit .

Boys names are just so difficult! They just all seem a bit "meh" lol

Finlay - ok but not my taste. See Finn
Finn - bad boy name. no

I have a Finley (Finn) and he is the most adorable, smiley, loving little boy ever. I highly recommend having a Finn! Xx

I have a Max and an Alex but they are older (one through uni one in 6th Form)

I also like Jack not keen on the others but you really must just go with what you like and not bother with what others think.

I like the last 4 the best - Lewis, Evan, Max and Alex are all very nice.

Murray and Jack are also quite good.

Of those, Finn(ian) or Max(imilian) or Alex(ander). Absolutely definitely not Cooper, Fletcher or Murray. Disagree about boys' names generally, though. I could have had 8 sons, and they would all have had absolutely fabulous names.

Oh really @Totopoly ? Feel free to share those fabulous names because I'm finding it really difficult to find one fabulous name never mind 8 😂

Also not fussed on having long names on the BC if I don't intend to use them. For example my favourite right now is Max but it would just be Max.... I don't like any of the longer versions at all.

I don't like Fletcher, Cooper, Murray or Finley but the rest are fine.

What about Elliot?

I do like Elliot but it's one my partner has said no to 😔

Evan is the only one I like.

Max is my favourite, great name.

I love Cooper, and I don't usually like surnamey type names. I picture a little dark curly haired polite yet mischevious little boy,
Also love Finley.
I quite like Alex. Its gentle yet masculine at the same time, and very timeless.
Evan Finn Jack and Max are okay, but certainly not to my personal taste
I don't like Murray or Fletcher.
I like Louis but not Lewis. Its crazy I know as its the same name (I think its the 'ew' bit.)

I agree about Ryan being dated. Although I think its in the top 100, so not totally obselete

Fletcher = Fletch, which is just a god awful sound.

Cooper = not keen on surnames as names personally.
