Name too long?

Hi all, for a boy we are thinking Grayson Thomas Martin Higgs. Thomas and Martin being mine and my girlfriends fathers. Is it too long? Does it sound good? Will a long name cause any issues with school, paperwork etc?

For a girl we are thinking Luna Jayne Higgs, Ivy Jayne Higgs or Maya Jayne Higgs. Which do you prefer? I'm leaning towards Luna 😁

I really like your boys name. Its long but I don't think too long, quite a few people have 4 names.

For girls I love Luna and ivy, and would use them myself. I like maya but it's not something I'd use :)

Me, my siblings and my children all have 3 given names. It’s not a problem.

I like the Luna combination of girls names best.

I like Maya pronounced my-a (how it should be said IMO). Not that keen on Luna.

Not fond of Grayson either, it's a surname. Middle names are good.

I'd just have Thomas Martin. Grayson sounds a bit old man ish to me. Not keen on any of the girls names, sorry, especially Ivy.

I like both Luna and Ivy, but would lean towards Luna as Ivy is extremely popular - but both are good. Maya is fine, just not a favourite of mine.

I vote for maya, it's really sweet. Boys name isn't too long at all.

The length is fine. The only Grayson I can think of is Perry, otherwise known as Claire. That would put me off a bit.

All your girls' names are nice - I'd favour Ivy. I know it's supposed to be popular but I've yet to meet one, aside from my grandmother who died 30 years ago.

Love your boys name. Luna was going to be my first choice out of your girls names but saying Luna Higgs out loud does sound a little bit like lunatics...

(I asked about Luna years ago on here and was told no it's awful everyone will think of lunatic which I think is ridiculous generally but maybe a point with your surname)

I like maya, I'm not sure about Grayson, but assume he will be called gray in reality.. Are you ok with that?

It's a group of lovely names. Personally yes I think it's too long but nephew has two middle names. I find that's more common with boys.

the trouble with lots of names, is, when you have to fill in a box they don't fit, not keen on the boys names, sound old fashioned to me, and I have a dog called Luna, but at the end of the day, its YOUR choice, at least they wont be called something like "apple"!!!

I don't like Grayson, it reminds me of the elderly game show host and Luna sounds too much like Loony to me, but I don't they are too long. Maya's lovely.

"Luna Higgs" doesn't really work when you say out loud... Which is a shame as I think the name Luna is gorgeous.

But two middle names is fine. Indeed it's de rigeur for professional cricketers. Wouldn't want to mess up the scoreboard would you?

Like Grayson, he won't be using the middle names everyday. He'll be Grayson Higgs.
I prefer Luna Jayne Higgs. Not my usual style if name but it just 'goes' and is very pretty.

Boys name sounds nice , it flows. Really don’t like Luna , Maya (or myah) is lovely

Both of those are lovely :) definitely not too long, and i really like the ring that 'Luna Jayne Higgs' has to it.
