Martha

Calixtine · 26/03/2019 09:20

I like them all. Favourites are Etta and Wren, least favourite is Winnie.

cinnabunbun · 26/03/2019 09:28

These are gorgeous! I love Martha but there are 2 in DC's reception year

Etta is ace! I've only met one and she has a super lovely family

Not sure about Winnie. Maybe teasers would would call her poo?

Wren and Cora both really solid, make me think of bright strong women

Choosing girls names is so hard

soontobefour4 · 26/03/2019 09:34

Love Martha

IVEgottheDECAF · 26/03/2019 09:35

I love Etta

Peachbubble · 26/03/2019 09:41

Martha

villamariavintrapp · 26/03/2019 11:07

Not keen on Etta because it makes me think of the terrorists, but I know it’s spelt differently. Others are nice.

zoellafortitude · 26/03/2019 11:12

Martha my favourite.

Henrietta often gets shortened to Etta.

Moondancer73 · 26/03/2019 11:23

Wren is beautiful

NunoGoncalves · 26/03/2019 11:28

I really like Etta and Martha! Considered both for my DC. I think Etta is a bit nicknamey so between the two I'd go for Martha. It's close though! Love both.

isntthatalwaystheway · 26/03/2019 11:31

I love Cora, it's so pretty! Etta is fab too, those two are my faves!

SoftBlocks · 26/03/2019 11:31

Wren.

TatianaLarina · 26/03/2019 11:42

Martha

icannotremember · 26/03/2019 11:45

Etta.

ThanksItHasPockets · 26/03/2019 12:04

They are all lovely. It depends where you live but in parts of the country people won’t pronounce the ‘t’ sounds in Etta and Martha will become Marfa (which incidentally is how small children everywhere will pronounce it, but that’s quite sweet).

Cbeebiesrehab · 26/03/2019 12:14

I love Etta! But I may be biased as it’s similar to my daughter’s name.
Not keen on Martha, feel like it’s had its day really. Solid list though.

mrsstephens89 · 26/03/2019 12:21

Martha is gorgeous.
Wren is horrid!
Etta is meh
Cora is ok

NameChange30 · 26/03/2019 12:25

Etta! Love it. Also, Etta James.

Cora is not my favourite but it's nice and unusual so it has my second choice vote.

I don't understand the current obsession with the name Martha, there are loads of them and I think it's ugly (sorry).

Wren is a bird and Winnie is a witch.

NameChange30 · 26/03/2019 12:26

(a witch... or a bear)

IVflytrap · 26/03/2019 12:50

Like them all except Winnie (it's the noise horses make, innit? Wink). Etta is nice but doesn't work if any of her other names are nouns, as Etta sounds like "ate a" in some accents - Etta Lily or Etta Swann becoming ate a lily or ate a swan...

Wren is nice, bit unusual. Martha is a warm, sunny name in my opinion. Cora is elegant and probably my favourite out of your list, although it's a close call.

MikeUniformMike · 26/03/2019 13:39

I don't like Wren or Etta.

JimJamJarmusch · 26/03/2019 13:45

I love Etta but consider the local accent carefully. I grew up in the working class north. It would have been pronounced: eh-ah.

orangetriangle · 26/03/2019 19:41

cora

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2019 20:17

I don't like any of them but Cora is the least worst.

aliceandkids77 · 26/03/2019 20:53

My fav from your list is Wren, so gorgeous!
