Hi Everyone
Twin boys due in the next two weeks. First twin and middle names are sorted - (middle being welsh and after my grandfathers).

First twin is named -
Thomas Rhidian (pronounced rid-ee-an)

Which do you prefer to go with......
A) Toby Gwyn (pronounced Gwin)
B) William Gwyn

William is another family name so all four names would have a lot of meaning - I really like the name but it doesn’t seem to roll off the tongue

For Toby We like the T & T combo as well as Tobes as a cute nickname

I must prefer Toby. I like the name William, but it's too much "w" in William Gwyn.

I like Tobias as the full name for Toby, but I do love Toby on its own.

MimiSunshine · 26/03/2019 12:17

Both boys being Mr T Surname born on the same date is surely going to cause issues later down the line for them so I’d go William

Shadow1234 · 26/03/2019 17:58

Prefer William and also like 'Will' as the shortened version
Tom and Will sound good together. (because even if you do not intend to shorten their names, their friends might later down the line).

bridgetreilly · 26/03/2019 18:01

Thomas and Toby is adorable.

Sandsnake · 26/03/2019 18:02

Toby, or not Toby, that is the question...

(Puns aside - I’d definitely go William).

3boysandabump · 26/03/2019 18:16

I prefer Toby.

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2019 20:18

William by a long way.

BikeRunSki · 26/03/2019 20:44

I prefer Toby, but Thomas and Toby is a bit cutesy for twins.

SemperIdem · 26/03/2019 20:48

William Gwyn doesn’t roll off the tongue. Though I do prefer William with Thomas as a first name.

William Aneurin perhaps?

Icklepup · 26/03/2019 20:48

Thomas and William

MoltenLasagne · 26/03/2019 20:51

My sister and I have the same initials and surname and it’s caused us no end of issues. That’s without also having the same date of birth so I’d go for William on that alone.

lucy0132 · 26/03/2019 20:52

As a twin please don't give them the same initial- they'll just be grouped together and not treated as individuals even more! William for sure.

aliceandkids77 · 26/03/2019 20:52

I prefer Thomas & William, they are both very classy and timeless. Tommy & Toby could get a bit babyish as they grow older maybe? both are lovely tho x

TillyTheTiger · 26/03/2019 20:55

Same initial, surname, DOB and address could cause problems with things like doctors records etc, so I would go with William

pearldeodorant · 26/03/2019 21:15

Thomas & William 100%. They go together beautifully

lunabody · 26/03/2019 21:17

Definitely William. I don't think Toby Gwyn has any gravitas to it, probably because of syllable count, where as William Gwyn sounds more adult (he'll need to live with it well beyond cute babyhood!)

Sophronia · 26/03/2019 23:01

Definitely William.

RoseMartha · 26/03/2019 23:06

William

LetsSplashMummy · 28/03/2019 11:16

William is lovely with Thomas, but doesn't work very well with Gwyn - could you switch the middle names? So Thomas Gwyn and William Rhidian?

BlueMerchant · 28/03/2019 11:19

William.

LegoPiecesEverywhere · 03/04/2019 18:35

William

bringbackfonzi · 03/04/2019 19:04

Like pp, I think same first initial, same surname and same dob is a BIG mistake. For that reason alone, William.
