What do people think of Thomas?
DH loves it, I like it.

I like it. Not so keen on Tom but Thomas is a good strong classic name. Can’t really go wrong with it except people will say it’s boring

ZsaZsaMc · 25/03/2019 15:45

I like it. Will not date either and if he wants to shorten it when is older can

NunoGoncalves · 25/03/2019 15:54

It's one of the most – if not the most – consistently popular boys names of the last 100 years. Strong, classic, dependable. I like it. Tom is good too. What's not to like?

MumUnderTheMoon · 25/03/2019 15:58

I love it it's a solid name that can carry a funky edgier middle name if you like. I also like Tom as a nn when I was pregnant I considered it.

PinkieTuscadero · 25/03/2019 16:00

It's okay. A sensible kind of name.

I much prefer it when it's shortened to Tom. You can depend on a Tom.

Peterpiperpickedwrong · 25/03/2019 16:01

Love it. I haven’t met a Thomas for 30 years.

EspressoPatronum · 25/03/2019 16:01

It's not my taste, but it's fine. Not hideous or dated and Tom is nice enough.

sunflower332 · 25/03/2019 18:15

Tom, Dick and Harry... feels a little dull imo.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 25/03/2019 18:18

I like it - I’ve known a few Italian variations of it (all Tommi’s).

I’m a fan of Old Harry’s Game so ‘Thomas’ does make me smile (‘all of my 6 of my wives were depressives, what are the odds?’)

Friolero · 25/03/2019 18:20

I'm not keen, seems very dull, but that's maybe just because I know a lot of children called Thomas.

Netflixaddiction · 25/03/2019 19:10

I love it. Not shortened

SallyWD · 25/03/2019 20:38

Very good classic name

Kim82 · 25/03/2019 20:40

I love it, it’s alwats been my favourite boy’s name. It is dh’s name (known as Tom) and my granddad’s name. I really wanted it for ds’ but it didn’t go with ex’s surname unfortunately.

Sophronia · 25/03/2019 22:42

I love it.

Chilledout11 · 25/03/2019 22:44

Lovely (popular here)
Can't go wrong with it.

GroggyLegs · 25/03/2019 22:47

Never met a Tom I didn't like.

It's a great name.

DramaAlpaca · 26/03/2019 00:06

Love it.

hopl · 26/03/2019 00:07

I love it Smile will be my sons name if my baby turns out to be a boy!!

problem1234567 · 26/03/2019 00:09

It's the name I've chosen should I ever have a male child (very unlikely).
Makes me think of Thomas the Tank - really wholesome. I appreciate that others will dislike it for that reason but I don't care.

HarrietSchulenberg · 26/03/2019 00:11

I love it both short and long, but then I'm biased as I gave birth to one 😉.
