Girls names urgently needed!

Hi,
Looking for help with a girls name. We like a traditional/ classic name but not too common. Also must end in either “-y”, “ie” or “ey”. Two syllables only and cannot be nicknamed.
Sorry to be fussy. Nothing we’ve seen has stood out or been ‘the one’!
Thanks you in advance x

Agree with 'Awlookatmybabyspider' - most names can be nicknamed, so you might be limiting your options even further there!

Nelly has the option of Nell
Sophie... Soph
Betsy....Bet
Bethany...Beth....

But there are a few on the lists that would work, providing you like the names.

Think Marnie is super cute.

I like Macey from your list

ozzyjeffery · 18/03/2019 19:28

Thank you. I prefer it spelt Macey over Macy, does anyone else?
If anyone has any preferences out of the three (or any more names), please comment!

Macy is the department store if that helps - but I still prefer it to Macey!

I like Tilly best, not sure any of the names on your list are 'classic' though.

I grew up with a -y name, which is usually a shortening of a longer name and still have to correct people from filling it in as the 'full' name on forms. Hopefully this is now less of a problem, as lots of people are using abbreviated names as full names, but worth bearing in mind, e.g. Tilly is usually short for Matilda, Lexie for Alexandra.

FairyLightBlanket45 · 18/03/2019 19:36

I don’t know why I prefer with out the e - I think the e just reminds me of Stacey who I hated at school.....

Other names I can think of:

Maggie
Ellie
Charlie
Heidi
Evie
Ebie
Kemi
Chloe
Edie
Demi
Josie
Dory
Emmy
Lily
Jamie
Sydney
