Kray, sorry.

Second thought is Veronica as I know two of those that go by Ronnie.

Toddlerteaplease · 14/03/2019 17:19

I know a Veronica known as Roni.
It's a dreadful name as a name in its own right. Also met twins called Ronald and Reggy

Peachbubble · 14/03/2019 17:52

Not keen

flameycakes · 14/03/2019 17:53

Ronald McDonald

ScreamingValenta · 14/03/2019 17:53

Barker and Corbett

Lungelady · 14/03/2019 17:57

BlueMerchant · 14/03/2019 17:59

Ronnie isn't awful name but I have to admit I think Kray.

Letthemysterybe · 14/03/2019 18:00

I prefer Roland

Bloomburger · 14/03/2019 18:00

Common and not in a there are many sense.

DorothyBastard · 14/03/2019 18:01

Love it. The adult Ronnie I know is the poshest person I know

Florencenotflo · 14/03/2019 18:03

I love it, it was my Grandads name and we'll be using it as a middle name if this one is a boy. I'd love to use it as a first name, but I'm not keen on Ronnie as a nickname. I can't dictate what people use as a nickname especially as they get older so decided on using it as a middle name.

Shadow1234 · 14/03/2019 18:56

I think Ronnie is nice and there were quite a few in my sons secondary school, so I would say that was more 'the norm' than Ronald.

LaurenOrdering · 14/03/2019 18:57

No it's awful.

LadyRochfordsSpangledGusset · 14/03/2019 19:20

This is my Ron/Ronnie. Can't think of it as a human name anymore ...

Ronald. Ron. Ronnie
GraceMarks · 14/03/2019 19:25

I quite like it, even though my first thought is "The Two Ronnies". But I doubt many people younger than me would think of that (I'm an older-than-my-years type of person).

PinkieTuscadero · 14/03/2019 19:37

Fine as a middle name to honour a much loved relative but there's no way on God's earth that I'd inflict Ronald as a first name.

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 14/03/2019 19:44

Ronnie is a recurring name in my family though it's derived from the not-as-bad Roland...

FishCanFly · 14/03/2019 20:36

Hey! Cool to hear your opinions. I also have 3 boys - Marvin, William, and Heath. So completely random

I have a little Ronnie. DP picked it and I'll admit I wasn't sure at first and took me a few days to agree after he was born, but it really suits him. He looks like a Ronnie. I was actually thinking earlier none of the names I liked would've suited him. I am a fan of waiting to see what babies look like before naming them though.

The Kray association doesn't bother me in the slightest and the 2 Ronnies are cool. It's easy to say and not at all popular in my area, although is top 100 so must be popular in other areas

Hushnownobodycares · 15/03/2019 14:49

Kray.

And a relative who's nearly made his ton
