Trying to compromise!

Oscar. I know 2 girl Robins and one boy Robin. Sounds more like a girls name to me

rosydreams · 14/03/2019 14:32

oscar

DidYeeAye · 14/03/2019 14:40

I prefer Oscar

BlueMerchant · 14/03/2019 14:42

Oscar is lovely
Robin is not to my taste at all.

icarriedaturnip · 14/03/2019 14:43

I’m biased as I have one, but definitely Oscar

Susannach · 14/03/2019 14:54

Really like both, but I vote Robin as it’s a bit more unusual and deserves more love I think!

FizzyGreenWater · 14/03/2019 16:17

Robin just sounds too much in the female camp now - I know it's not really but - OSCAR.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 14/03/2019 16:22

Prefer Robin, but Oscar is probably the better of the 2. Robin is more of a girls name to me. Even though it was used for boys first.

lemonjam · 14/03/2019 17:03

Thank you Smile

Think I actually like Robin best, but feel like Oscar is the ‘safer’ choice... hard work this naming business, I find girls names much easier!

Much prefer Robin

Shadow1234 · 14/03/2019 18:51

Prefer Robyn for a girl, so Oscar would be my choice.

daisypond · 14/03/2019 19:48

Oscar. I don't like Robin at all for a boy, unless it's used as a short form for Robert.

MollyHuaCha · 14/03/2019 19:50

Oscar

foxtiger · 14/03/2019 20:18

I think right now I'd go for Robin. Oscar is so popular I'm getting a bit bored with it, and Robin (which will always be a boy's name to me, especially with that spelling) is quite rare, but not weird or difficult to spell or pronounce. I do know one little one, actually, but he goes by Robbie most of the time.

KatoPotato · 14/03/2019 20:22

Robin

RiverMeadow · 14/03/2019 20:22

Robin! Love it!

Bumblebeesmum · 14/03/2019 20:25

Ooooh usually these threads have two similar style names but these are completely different. I love both - so no help

reefedsail · 14/03/2019 21:03

I like them together as first and middle.

DramaAlpaca · 14/03/2019 21:05

I'm not mad on either, but if forced to pick I'd choose Oscar.

chilledteacher · 14/03/2019 21:10

I have a Robin. Go Robin.

Barbarafromblackpool · 14/03/2019 21:15

Robin.

LadyHonoriaDedlock · 14/03/2019 21:15

Me too. He's awesome and has always liked his name. #teamrobin

fiddlesticks86 · 14/03/2019 21:24

I've always loved Oscar - I know 2 and they are both lovely (one is early twenties other is pre school ages). I also only know female Robyn's so it doesn't seem as masculine to me.
