Connie

I don't like adjective names. What is she's not Bonny?

Mumtobe193 · 13/03/2019 23:10

Both lovely names but I slightly prefer Connie. Think it's just that little more quirky

Shadow1234 · 13/03/2019 23:31

Connie

GlitterPixie · 13/03/2019 23:33

Connie

DramaAlpaca · 13/03/2019 23:34

Connie, short for Constance, is gorgeous.

Bonnie is twee.

DulciUke · 13/03/2019 23:35

Bucking the trend—I like Bonnie.

PippilottaLongstocking · 13/03/2019 23:36

Bonnie

I’ve only known two Connie’s and they were both vile, manipulative women. Also the ‘Con’ part makes it sound very negative imo

Saffrona · 13/03/2019 23:49

Neither

AnnaComnena · 13/03/2019 23:54

Also the ‘Con’ part makes it sound very negative imo

But 'Constance,' which it's short for, is strong-sounding and positive.

Bonnie is a nickname, not a name, imo.

justforareply · 14/03/2019 00:12

I really fancied Bonnie for one of mine
Told it was a name for a dog 😪

allnewredfairy · 14/03/2019 00:14

I love Constance and Connie. Wasn't Bonnie a Blue Peter dog?

OpiesOldLady · 14/03/2019 00:29

Not into either tbh.

MercyBodle · 14/03/2019 00:31

I much prefer Bonnie. Connie is very harsh to my ears.

Marcipex · 14/03/2019 07:57

Bonnie is a dogs name.
Also, what if she isn't a cutie pie Bonnie Langsford type? Not many could carry it off.

Connie is awful. Dowdy, grim, with the negative connotations of conman, what a con etc.

LinenLou · 14/03/2019 09:55

I love Bonnie! It's on my list too.
It seems to get slated a lot on MN. Every bloody name in the entire world can be a dogs name! My mums dogs are called Oliver & Jake but both of them are very popular baby names so I think the point people make of names being just for pets is stupid.

AsparagusSoup · 14/03/2019 09:59

Have you considered Bonnita?

Ollypops14 · 14/03/2019 09:59

none

Bumblebeesmum · 14/03/2019 10:44

Bonnie is my friend’s dogs name. I think calling a baby pretty as their name is not my style.
I love Connie if short for something

nocluenoidea · 14/03/2019 10:54

I've always like Bonnie though agree with pp it's a bit twee

ChampooPapi · 14/03/2019 10:55

Like Bonny or Bonnie

LearningMySelfWorth · 14/03/2019 11:00

Bonnie, people between the ages of around 25-16 will associate the name Connie with the section of the kids TV show Storymakers with Connie the Blue Cow. Which was a blue cow who can talk wears red lipstick, has a red handbag and travels around the world on a red bus going on adventures.

BlueMerchant · 14/03/2019 11:01

I wouldn't use either.

golddustwomen · 14/03/2019 11:06

I'm not a fan of either to be honest but I would pick bonnie out of the two. Reminds me of that cute little girl in toy story 3. Connie however reminds me of a vile bitch I used to know!!

barkinatthemoon · 14/03/2019 11:06

I LOVE Bonnie, but my oh kept saying it was a dogs name (to be fair I did used to have a dog called Bonnie!) So we settled on using it as dds middle name. Everyone says her first name is a cats name too, so she's doing well 🤣🤣🤣

Ghostwriter90 · 14/03/2019 15:13

Sorry but both are absolutely awful. Bonnie is a dogs name and Connie is an incredibly ugly with no redeeming features
