Ekaterina Yael and Araminta Abigail.

RaininSummer · 12/03/2019 21:07

Tabitha and Sulis

Fatted · 12/03/2019 21:07

Andrew and Elliot.

Not too dissimilar to their actual names (Youngest has Elliot as his middle name). Guess DH isn't too bad after all.

CountFosco · 12/03/2019 21:08

All 3 were my choice. We had 2 names we liked for DD2 but I won having just squeezed her out. DH's choice for her was Freya which I love but it's too popular.

If he'd had a free choice DD1 would have been Susannah and DS would have been Casper. I vetoed.

BikeRunSki · 12/03/2019 21:08

I chose DS’s name and DH did not object. It’s not at all contentious or adventurous though.

DD would have been Lorelli (me) or Thomasin (DH). Her actual name is nothing like either of these!

Shelbybear · 12/03/2019 21:09

Alex (for a girl) and Lewis.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 12/03/2019 21:10

I wanted balthazar for ds2

We settled on something very 'common' lovely cos he is lovely Grin but lots of boys have the name

We settled on fairly unusual names (at the time) for ds1 and dd but the only name we agreed on was the common one for ds2

I had a list of 30 names, dh had 6. Only two were the same on both lists Grin

formerbabe · 12/03/2019 21:11

I really wanted Chloe for a girl

I also love the name Tiffany but everyone I ever told thought it was chavvy horrible

Laska2Meryls · 12/03/2019 21:12

Torin
or Arthur

DS (now 27) isn't either of those , but loves Torin and uses it for his Gaming name .. (I knew I was right..) But I do like the name we actually gave him and so does DS. He's glad he wasn't Arthur tough..

DH wanted Stewart .. (DS isn't that either, I'm pleased to say,and so is he )

cortex10 · 12/03/2019 21:12

Ottilie if we had a girl - DH preferred Elizabeth- luckily we agreed on DS's name (only child)

ButterflyBitch · 12/03/2019 21:13

My son would be Gabriel or Rafe. My daughter got the name I picked out when I was 18 wanted

lpchill · 12/03/2019 21:14

Sakura

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 12/03/2019 23:38

The names they have. I picked them, ex wasn't really interested in choosing names. He did say he didn't like a name for DS2 that we eventually used for DS4.

And for DS3 he said he liked a name I read out from a book of names, it was the only one he liked so he kind of chose it but I was only reading out ones I liked!

For the youngest he said he didn't like the name I chose but didn't come up with any other alternatives so I got my way in the end.

happymummy12345 · 12/03/2019 23:53

When I was pregnant we didn't want to find out the sex until the birth, so we came up with both a boys and a girls name.
We both loved Daniel for a boy and from around the 6 month mark the decision was made.
But couldn't agree on a girls name, and we hadn't decided on one. I loved Jessica but dh wasn't too keen.
I still would love Jessica if we had a daughter in the future. Obviously we had a boy, and as soon as the midwife told us we both said "Daniel", and Daniel was Daniel.

Lovingbenidorm · 13/03/2019 00:01

Gabriel
Cadence
Cassandra
Tobias

ChimpyChops · 13/03/2019 00:19

DS1 would have been James. He got that as a middle name.
DS2 would have been Dominic but I adore his name that H agreed on, he is Benjamin.

mathanxiety · 13/03/2019 00:33

ROFL at 'Jared, Denise and Matilda', CoffeeChocolateWine

Grin
CoffeeChocolateWine · 13/03/2019 09:04

Lol! I’ve always tried to appear like I’m open to his suggestions but just try and picture my face when he said ‘Denise’! We did end up using Matilda as a middle name for our youngest (he knew better than to suggest Denise again!)

PoppingGlitter · 13/03/2019 09:43

Ex and I could never agree on names, I liked hippy type names and he was fairly mainstream.

Always wanted a DD called Indigo or Bronte. Ex gave in agreed to Mikayla.

Boys I was desperate for Joel or Blake. Ex refused and convinced me to name DS Jordan (which I like but never fussed). Have some regrets, he was born in the 90s so extremely popular then and looks dated now. But as DS grew up I have loved the name and it does suit him.

JumpingFrogs · 13/03/2019 20:59

My husband left it entirely up to me. I chose first and middle names for all our girls, and first name for ds. Husband's only input was middle name for ds (he wanted him to have his middle name). He really doesn't get excited by names !

Ihavealwaysknown · 13/03/2019 20:59

Phoebe, DH vetoed it and then ended up choosing DD’s name (we didn’t know her sex and I had much stronger feelings about him not having his own way on the boys name!) 🙊

He has said I have the freedom to choose next time, so long as it isn’t phoebe 🙄

itbemay1 · 13/03/2019 21:04

Macie and Paddy

ClinkyMonkey · 13/03/2019 21:09

Alex and Oisin.

NCKitten · 13/03/2019 21:20

Nova for a girl. We had a boy though and agreed on his name.
