Albert, Florence and ...??

Hello! I’m hoping for some help with baby name #3, gender unknown, please.

We have Albert George Alexander (Bert/Bertie) and Florence Betsy Alexandra (Florrie), and are thinking:

Margot (Maggie); Ruby; or Nancy for girl

Henry; Wilfred (Fred); or Louis for boy.

It’s boys in particular we are struggling with as none of those float my boat as much as Albert did so I’m finding it impossible to decide.

Thoughts / opinions / alternative suggestions really welcome!

Thanks so much

What about Edward nn Ted? I feel like it would go with your older siblings names.

RoseMartha · 09/03/2019 16:45

Wilfred or Ruby

Or

Eleanor or Beatrice or Katherine
Edward or Lawrence or Lysander

Sophronia · 09/03/2019 17:04

Margot and Wilfred

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 09/03/2019 17:54

Is Margot really in keeping with Florence and Albert though?

QueenMabby · 09/03/2019 18:08

How about Rex for a boy and Beatrice (nn Bea) for a girl?

borntobequiet · 09/03/2019 18:12

Ivy. The names of my ex’s grandfather and two great aunts.

Thatsnotmyotter · 09/03/2019 18:18

Nancy and Wilfred are my favourites.

When I read the title I immediately thought of Emmeline.

You could also try:
Winifred
Harriet
Phoebe
Tatiana
Cordelia
Ottilie
Freya

Stanley
Eric
Frederick
Fabian
Barnaby
Jasper
Julian
Leon

I think my kids names have a similar vibe to yours, my unused girl’s names were Marianne, Marigold or Mary (Marigold was my fave). My unused boys were Francis and Christopher (Kit).

Heronwatcher · 09/03/2019 18:25

Oh and also May as a first name or (not in a hyphen) or Morven. There are loads of Ivys and Margots near me- I think they might be the next Mia/ Ella/ Amelia equivalent!

FranklinTheCat · 09/03/2019 18:59

The first name that sprang to mind for me was Mabel!

DramaAlpaca · 09/03/2019 19:02

I was just going to suggest Mabel too Grin

KingHenrysCodpiece · 09/03/2019 19:13

Henry, Louis, Margot and Nancy my faves on that list

MutantDisco · 09/03/2019 19:29

I've got a Freddie and Bertie. If no 3 were a girl, she'd be Nancy, Mabel, Annabella. Think we might have similar taste!

ThunderR0ad78 · 09/03/2019 19:35

James
Edward

Annabelle
Alice
Clara

17caterpillars1mouse · 09/03/2019 19:39

I'd choose Ruby and Wilfred from your list though I'd call him Wilf not Fred

A few suggestions

Henrietta
April
Scarlett
Jemima
Rebecca

John
Alasdair
Nicholas
Walter

I like Henry and Louis a lot. Not that keen on your girls names but Ruby is ok, actively dislike Nancy.

Evelyn, Catherine, Violet, Emma or Hannah are my suggestions.

amazingbanana · 09/03/2019 19:45

Etta for a girl

itssquidstella · 09/03/2019 19:58

Margot for a girl.

I like all your boys' names but prefer Frederick to Wilfred.

Biscuitsneeded · 09/03/2019 20:09

Out of your names I would go for Nancy and Henry. But I would also add into the mix:

Hattie, Kitty, Dora, Sylvia

Edward, John, Jimmy, Wilbur

Shadow1234 · 10/03/2019 18:18

Louis would be my favourite. Other suggestions:

Marcus
Edmund
Dominic
Sebastian
Elijah
Jonas
Caleb

Zebedee

Thanks for being honest BlueMerchant - I worry that’ll be some people’s opinion esp because of the good life but sort of love Margot at the same time .... Confused

Biscuitsneeded thank you I really like Hattie but am a bit obsessed with having a longer more formal name so I guess Harriet?
