Sofia is lovely

Shadow1234 · 06/03/2019 23:47

Siena is my favourite

Jsmith99 · 06/03/2019 23:58

I like both.

DramaAlpaca · 07/03/2019 00:09

You know Sofia is in Bulgaria, not Italy, right?

I'd choose Siena Wink

SleepWarrior · 07/03/2019 01:29

Siena

FiddleFaddleDingDong · 07/03/2019 01:30

I've had memorable weekends in both cities. I couldn't possibly choose Grin

Saffrona · 07/03/2019 02:28

It might just be my area, but sienna is a little downmarket where I live. But it is pretty. Just had to for-warn you!

MercyBodle · 07/03/2019 09:09

I much prefer Sofia.

daisypond · 07/03/2019 12:21

Both are OK. But I much prefer Sophia, spelled that way. Sofia looks very odd to me, unless you want the Bulgarian city pronunciation, with the stress on the SOF-ia. Or the more Spanish Sofia - So-FEE-a.

My memory of Siena is of a very biting strong wind. On a hill stop with that wind sweeping through.
Florence is gorgeous but not so much the name. Maybe Firenze?
Mick Jaggers daughter has an Assisi. Verona is a nice name or Venetia after Venice.

HappyHattie · 07/03/2019 12:53

Siena, because I LOVE the place. Would forever remind me of gelato and lazy lunches!

BlueMerchant · 07/03/2019 12:57

Sofia is unusual where I live and I think it's nicer.
Siena ( spelt Sienna )is popular here and although nice, I think Sofia is better.

Thank you all so much for your comments. Really appreciate it. Naming children is just a minefield! I might just wait until she arrives and see what she looks like Confused

I like Sofia but like pp prefer the Sophia spelling. I think it's a beautiful name (was actually top 3 in my girls names but we had a boy)

Loual84 · 24/01/2020 10:16

I called my Little one Siena. I just worry as she gets older she will be forever correcting people... " its with one n"
We spelt with one n as that is the original way to spell the name plus DH just prefers the look of name...
I like both your name choices🤗... did you stick with one of these?

Whatsyourflava · 24/01/2020 10:43

I love both 🥰

Peachbubble · 24/01/2020 16:42

Sofia
