Sophie.

BlueMerchant · 04/03/2019 09:40

Prefer Sophie. Lovely name.

HappydaysArehere · 04/03/2019 09:41

Sophie

Ribbonsonabox · 04/03/2019 09:42

Meredith! Pretty and underused. And I knew a really lovely girl called Meredith at school!

LemonBreeland · 04/03/2019 09:43

Meredith, lovely and totally underused.

Sophie has always seemed a bit 'wet' to me.

2rachtint · 04/03/2019 09:44

My daughter is called Sophie so obviously I love it. It's fairly popular in the tables but we don't meet many others - in her school of 350 there are two of them. I don't mind Meredith as I like grey's anatomy but don't love it.

MadisonAvenue · 04/03/2019 09:45

I love both but think I’d choose Meredith, it’s underused.

Fedoos · 04/03/2019 09:47

Definitely Meredith. I love it. In fact, I posted about it just a few days ago. Currently top of the list for DD2 due in the summer.

Sophie. Meredith is awful.

Sophie

IVflytrap · 04/03/2019 12:16

Meredith.

daisypond · 04/03/2019 12:34

Very different styles of name there. I'd only consider Sophie.

Sophronia · 04/03/2019 12:39

Meredith is more unusual.

Villanellesproudmum · 04/03/2019 12:43

Love Meredith, I only know one who is called Merry for short.

StellaRae · 04/03/2019 12:45

Sophie

TrainSong · 04/03/2019 12:46

Meredith is more unusual. Elegant. I like it.
Sophie is very popular. Sophia with an a is my favourite girls name. I'd use it even if every other girl in the class had the same name. Almost.

Storminamug · 04/03/2019 13:05

Thanks for the feedback. Older Dd is called Charlotte (nn Lottie). We would prob shorten Meredith to Merry which might be a bit samey.

What about Florence, Alice, Eleanor, Madeleine or Lucy? They go nicely with Charlotte imo.

Storminamug · 04/03/2019 13:10

I love Eleanor but my niece is Eleanor. A close friend has just had a girl called Florence. I really like Lucy but it seems a bit of a young girls name. Madelaine is lovely but I cannot stand Maddy. Alice, Dh dislikes. But I agree that all those go well... any other suggestions?!
