So I'm pregnant with dd2 and had a short list of really lovely names but last night started to think what it would be like to actually have a dd with the name and couldn't picture it. Nothing actually felt right Confused and now I don't know what to do. I had a thread recently and got lots of positive feedback on the names (Beatrix, Genevieve, Polly and Sylvie my top ones) but the only one I can actually imagine using is Polly but then my dd1 will be watching the wiggles and miss polly had a dolly will come on and it makes me question that too Confused

Why don't you wait until you see her? Then see what she looks like?

My DS3 was always going to be called Seth, but when he was born it really didn't suit him. He did however look like a Tate, so that's who he now is.

There's no reason she has to be named before her arrival.

@Crunchymum yep over in Oz. Thanks, I think I do like Polly just keep confusing myself. I think for me I like the more nicknamey names with a vintage feel rather than the full names.

@OpiesOldLady I am a stresser and worry that I will make a rash decision if I wait until dd is born. I know I've got plenty of time, my dh keeps saying that too but I like to be organised haha, I know I should have a bit of a break from names but just want to find the one Blush

Polly is lovely! I like all the names you mentioned in your op though, especially Genevieve.

I prefer holly to Polly!
You have to wait until you see her before you know what’ll fit. It’ll come - be patient and have faith the right name will come. (Actually faith is a nice name ;))

I feel like this now too . I'm having a boy and I just can't picture any names on a baby boy 🙈 struggling to find any names I really like but the ones that I do like so far I just can't picture.

Probably best waiting til you see her to decide ! You'll probably just have a gut feeling then

DS was nameless for a few days after his birth. We had a shortlist but wanted to wait to see what felt right. It will come to you when they are here.
