Is James a classic strong name or boring

Everyone seems to be picking unusual baby names these days which makes me concerned that James is just too boring. I think its a strong, handsome name but I could be wrong. Your thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks

Lovely name, one of my favourites. It's the made up/unusual names that are boring. You can't go wrong with a good strong classic name.

missmouse101 · 11/03/2019 16:21

Boring to me tbh. I just think it's a waste of an opportunity to choose a great name!

123Flopsy · 11/03/2019 18:19

Dull (you did ask)

darkriver19886 · 11/03/2019 18:21

Classic and Strong. Officially my favourite boy name.

icarriedaturnip · 11/03/2019 18:48

I’m biased as my eldest is James, but I think it’s a very handsome name. And it grows well too

foxtiger · 14/03/2019 21:29

I love James and it's one of my DS1's middle names. It might have been his first name if there hadn't been another one in the fairly close family already. I think it's a great name that suits any age group and sounds kind of classy without actually sounding annoyingly posh. Some Jameses suit Jim or Jamie, some don't, but it's nice that they have the choice.

Applesbananaspears · 15/03/2019 22:42

Perfect name. It sounds lovely and is totally timeless and classless

SummerHouse · 15/03/2019 22:45

It's a beautiful name. And been in the top 10 boys names for 50 years for a good reason.

SummerHouse · 15/03/2019 22:47

Not sure that's entirely true^
But should be.

GlitterPixie · 15/03/2019 22:55

I don’t think you can go wrong with James for a boy

maamalady · 15/03/2019 23:05

Best boys name ever, it is far and away top of my list. I've never met a James I didn't like, either Smile

Only reason not to use it is if the child is going to have the surname Bond...

holly1501 · 15/03/2019 23:07

Used to be a very common name. Not come across a baby James for yonks now. To me it's a happy name. And a strong name yes. I mean James bond and all that.

MondeoFan · 15/03/2019 23:09

It's my fave ever boys name, can't go wrong

llangennith · 15/03/2019 23:09

Boring name.

BloominSloe · 15/03/2019 23:14

It's lovely! My favourite boys name and very timeless. I always wanted to name my son James when I was younger. But I married one instead.

MumUnderTheMoon · 15/03/2019 23:24

I love the name James either for a boy or a girl I think it has a really lovely sound and it's a solid easy to spell and pronounce.

shadow7uk · 17/03/2019 20:10

Strong name, at least he won't get teased.

There are too many stupid names going around nowadays
