Agree with others - not a fan of the first names but the middle names are pretty.

Another vote for Ottilie (I wanted this for my DD but DH vetoed) or Matilda (that’s what we called her!) :)

Kokeshi123 · 27/02/2019 06:42

Colby--boy's name
Jensen--boy's name
Matilda--fine

Roxy--stripper name
Brielle--stripper name
Eleanora--OK but bit of a mouthful

Leland--homeware chainstore name
Jacinda--frilly but OK
Ottilie--fine
Francesca--lovely

Tatum--lesser-known metallic element on the far end of the periodic table
Rosamel--King Arther's lovelorn girlfriend
Ambrosia--rice pudding

  • do you prefer Tatum or Tatum?--they are both truly terrible, OP.

Ezra--boy's name
Delaney--very American but passable
Kennedyplease noshe will get called Ken

  • do you prefer Ezra or Esra?--much of a muchness since this is a boy's name anyway.
MercyBodle · 27/02/2019 08:15

Tatum Ambrosia is my favourite. Tatum is the only first name I like. Tatum Francesca would work. Leland could grow on me, and is my 2nd choice, and Leland Francesca is my favourite of those options.

I like some of your middles: Francesca, Matilda, Eleanora. I really dislike Roxy, and Ezra for a girl, so Esra is marginally better I think.

starkid · 27/02/2019 09:56

I like the middle names a lot more than the first names which are mostly bizarre, but from the options you've given I do like Roxy Brielle

mangolover · 27/02/2019 10:00

Colby Matilda is gorgeous

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 27/02/2019 10:50

Your girls first choice are terrible. I can’t take this seriously actually.

Crunchymum · 27/02/2019 11:39

Some of the middle names are ok and would be nice as first names (Matilda, Francesca)

The rest are silly or made up or boys names or just horrible.

CJsGoldfish · 27/02/2019 11:52

Oh, you have to add the y to Taytum OP. Who doesn't love a random y. Almost as good as the added 'h' Grin

I think my list of names probably looked like this when I was about 12 and trying to think of the 'cool' names I'd choose for my future boy and girl. lol

MamaDane · 27/02/2019 12:31

Jensen is a surname, it means the son of Jens and Jens is also a male name. You can't seriously want to use a middle name for your daughter that is "son of 'male name'".

Confused

Roxy Brielle is the best of the names imo. ☺️ Good luck OP.

daisypond · 27/02/2019 12:57

Your middle names are nicer, in general, than the first names. Colby, Leland are all surnames. Roxy is OK if short for Roxanne, which is a nice name. Ezra is a boy's name. If you turn some of the names around and have the middle names first, I think you've got many more nice possibilities.

Quintella · 27/02/2019 13:07

Esra is a Turkish girls' name but most people won't know that and will confuse it with the increasingly popular Ezra for boys.

Your names aren't massively my style but I quite like Roxy, especially Roxanne.

Quintella · 27/02/2019 13:12

Isn't Leland a make of lorry?

Hollowvictory · 27/02/2019 13:13

Ezra and colby are boys names.
Leland isn't a name

SilverySurfer · 27/02/2019 20:35

Too try hard. Why is it some of you are so keen to give boy's names to girls? Do you think it will make you look cool, different? Believe me it doesn't.

Change your own name if you want a boy's name.

PeppermintCactus · 27/02/2019 20:42

Colby?? Is that a name?

Colby Jensen - nope
Colby Matilda - mope, but Matilda would be ok

Roxy Brielle - stripper
Roxy Eleanora - drop the Roxy part and it's fine

Leland?? Is that some kind of tree? The second names here are all nice though.
Leland Jacinda
Leland Ottilie
Leland Francesca

Tatum Rosamel - no no
Tatum Ambrosia - no no

  • do you prefer Tatum or Taytum? - they're both awful and make me think of potatoes

Ezra Delaney - no no
Ezra Kennedy - no no

  • do you prefer Ezra or Esra? Ezra is a boys' names and Esra sounds made up. What about Esme?
Dontrocktheboat · 27/02/2019 20:53

Roxanne (Roxy for short) Eleanora is a great name.
Agree with everything that has been said about the others - all awful and sound like American boy names.
I like Esra, but not sure it works if not Turkish. Ezra is definitely a boy’s name and becoming more popular so would be cert recognisably odd to call a girl this.

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 28/02/2019 20:47

Colby Jensen - sorry no
Colby Matilda - Matilda lovely but Colby no sorry

Roxy Brielle - no
Roxy Eleanora - Roxy no but I like eleanora if shortened to ellie day to day. Eleanora kind of sounds like bleeding nora to me.

Leland Jacinda - no
Leland Ottilie - Leland no but ottilie is really cute
Leland Francesca - Francesca is cute

Tatum Rosamel - no
Tatum Ambrosia - no

  • do you prefer Tatum or Taytum? - neither sorry!

Ezra Delaney - no
Ezra Kennedy - no

  • do you prefer Ezra or Esra? Ezra but on a boy tbh.

Sorry op I think we have completely different taste in names! Some of your more "normal" middle names are nice but your first names are a bit too American for me.

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 28/02/2019 21:42

I like Francesca, Matilda and Eleonora (which I believe would be the proper spelling). Ottilie's OK, but very faddy atm. Jacinda's pretty but doesn't appeal to me personally. Everything else is firmly in the 'um, NO' category. Sorry.

Hearing Ezra I can only think of Ezra Pound, who IIRC was notorious for his antisemitic views.

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 28/02/2019 21:45

And frankly I'll accept the boys'-names-for-girls trend the day I see parents of boys calling them Emily and Isla. Until then I'll consider it just another manifestation of the notion that associating girls with something 'for boys' increases their value somehow. Not a message I'm a fan of.

scissorlover · 28/02/2019 21:48

Please call her Boy Custard, as @SleepingStandingUp suggested Grin

SallyWD · 01/03/2019 10:46

Sorry I don't like any of them!

spicygirl26 · 01/03/2019 10:50

I'm afraid I don't like any of them. I know an Ezra, Colby and Leland and they are all boys.
