So, we have two dc, Rosa and Alfred (Freddie), with our third expected this week!

I have been going round in circles with dh about all of the names on our lists.

The current names we like...

George Leonard
Henry Arthur
Barnaby (Barney) George
Stanley Arthur

Katherine (Kitty/Kit) Pearl
Harriet (Hattie/Hetty) Pearl
Edith Pearl
Laurel Pearl
Dorothy (Dolly) Pearl

Would love any opinions on these, and any more suggestions you have! I fall in love with one and then talk myself out of it, in a never ending cycle Grin

I think Barnaby and Laurel are lovely and suit your existing DC names.

Antonin · 25/02/2019 11:42

Yes, Barnaby and Laurel

Quintella · 25/02/2019 12:32

Henry and Laurel for me.

BlueMerchant · 25/02/2019 12:45

I think George, Henry and Stanley go best with your children's names.Barnaby just doesn't gel to me. Other names sound stronger. My favorite is George Leonard.( I also love Leonard as first name nn Leo. Freddie & Leo)
I like Katherine and Dorothy. Love Dolly and Kitty as nn and think they go well with Rosa and Freddie.

Ribbonsonabox · 25/02/2019 12:48

I LOVE the name Dorothy!!! And love Pearl
So Dorothy Pearl is winner for me!

I actually like Arthur and Leonard the most out of your boys names!

Maybe I would go for Stanley Arthur if I had to choose! But personally I'd use Arthur Leonard

LokiDokiArtichoki · 25/02/2019 12:52

I have a Leonard and a Stanley!

From your names (I’ve mixed them up a bit) I would choose Edith Laurel or Leonard George

Flamingosnbears · 25/02/2019 13:47

Barnaby and Dorothy

123Flopsy · 25/02/2019 14:24

Barnaby and Laurel! Beautiful and interesting names.

17caterpillars1mouse · 25/02/2019 14:27

From your boys list i really like Barnaby though think Barnaby Arthur is much nicer than Barnaby George

From your girls I really love Laurel Pearl and Katherine 'Kitty's Pearl. Tbf though all yoyr names are lovely. Congratulations and good luck deciding

Icklepup · 25/02/2019 14:31

123Flopsy · 25/02/2019 14:42

Barnaby George

Laurel Pearl

RayaJambalaya · 25/02/2019 14:46

Henry or Stanley

Harriet or Dorothy

Emily135 · 25/02/2019 16:03

What beautiful names. Very tricky decision and I think your list would be very similar to mine.. I would probably go for

Edith or Dorothy (love the nn Dotty)
Or
Stanley

Good luck x

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 25/02/2019 18:33

Harriet and Henry.

KangaFandanga · 25/02/2019 20:12

Barney , Henry, or m favourite girls name Kitty.

Shadow1234 · 25/02/2019 21:06

George and Laurel

Sophronia · 25/02/2019 23:01

Barnaby and Katherine

NuffSaidSam · 25/02/2019 23:06

George Arthur first choice (I don't like Leonard) and Henry Arthur second choice.

Katherine first choice (I love Kitty) and Harriet second choice.

MercyBodle · 26/02/2019 01:55

The only one I really dislike on your lists is Laurel - what a frumpy middle-aged name this is. Am I the only one to know several such Laurels who have put me right off this name?

Henry and Barnaby are favourites (though all the boy names are good). Almost impossible to choose between my 3 favourites in the girl names - Katherine, Harriet, Edith as I just love these. Based on great nn Kit/Kitty maybe Katherine.

KangaFandanga · 26/02/2019 07:29

Really helpful to hear what you all think. I must admit, Leonard is a compromise from me as I love George so much and husband isn't a huge fan...he loves Leonard and it's the only way George it staying on the list Grin

I don’t like Laurel either. I’m not sure why even. For some reason it seems masculine to me.

KangaFandanga · 26/02/2019 16:35

Yes it's not my favourite at the moment.
I think Kitty and George are top of my list right now. Husband liking Stanley and Harriet...
