None... But you obviously love Camilla.

Lara

I like all of them, but I would probably not use Lana because it is spanish for wool I think.

The one I would use for a DD would be Anna.
Lara then Camilla.
Both are nice but what would they be shortened to - all names get shortened or lengthened.
Didn't pick Hannah because it is so similar to Anna.

  1. Anna
  2. Hannah
  3. Lara

Thank you everyone.

I think I’m a little put off Camilla now. I just tried to imagine introducing my baby daughter to a stranger...and I felt that perhaps I would cringe if they replied as “oh Camilla like Camilla Parker-Bowles?”.

Plus now I’m starting to think that perhaps Camilla is “too posh” and “pretentious”? Or am I making that up.

Edging towards Anna now...I love Annabelle but doesn’t go with dd1 of Isabella! Too many belles going on!

I definitely think Camilla Parker Bowlers when I Camilla. I don't think it's too posh, more too middle aged, it's the posh equivalent of Carol/Sharon/Moira/Diane/Julie. It's not old enough to be old lady chic, but not really a name I can imagine on anyone under 50!

PeppermintCactus · 26/02/2019 21:12

Camilla - Parker Bowles
Anna - only one I like!
Hannah - 80s/90s/ubiquitous
Lana - Lah-na or Lay-na?
Lara - Croft

RickOShay · 26/02/2019 22:36

Isabella and Anna sound lovely together.

1 - Camilla - although this could become more popular fairly soon, as when the Queen dies, Camilla The Duchess of Cornwall will become Queen Consort, so the name will be more in the public eye. It might not bother you, but worth thinking about.

2 - Hannah. Just love it. A real down home uncomplicated name.

3 - Lara. Cool name.

Don't like Lana and Anna is boring.

Bloomini · 27/02/2019 14:30

Anna
Camilla
Lara

But a Camilla and Isabella is lovely!

MollyYouInDangerGirl · 27/02/2019 23:44

Lara would probably be my top choice. I don't like camilla really but really like camille. I don't think I'd use any of your others.

I used to quite like lana but read on other threads its anal backwards Blush. I do really like lena/lina though!

I only like Camilla and also the suggestion of Lena.

StellaRae · 28/02/2019 10:05

My top three:

  1. Anna
  2. Hannah
  3. Lara

Just seen that DD is Isabella. I think Anna would be perfect.

Herewegoagain84 · 28/02/2019 12:59

Definitely Anna! We have one who is 22 months - haven't met any others and always getting compliments on it. It's so simple/elegant.

PlatypusLeague · 28/02/2019 13:37

Hannah
Anna
Camilla

Lena instead of Lana
