Any ideas? Love Jude but is Joel and Jude too matchy?

They are quite matchy but it depends on their age gap really - if more than a few years apart they’ll be moving in completely different circles and less sibling association by teachers clubs friends etc

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 20:58

Judah ?

Vika1985 · 23/02/2019 21:00

They will be quite close in age. Also concerned both books of the bible!

I think all names have downsides & this is a fairly minor one imo. I’d keep looking for another you both love as much but if not I’d go for it.

Vika1985 · 23/02/2019 21:08

Thanks. Think might have to think outside the box, drawn to similar sounding names!

Judoc is another variant. They’re both lovely names though & given half of people are naming their kids things like bush and elephant I really wouldn’t let it stop you if you both love it

Bumblebeesmum · 23/02/2019 21:13

What about Ludo?

Vika1985 · 23/02/2019 21:14

Haha. Ludo is very cool, not sure I'm cool enough to pull it off!

TBH, I actively avoided my DC having the same first inital although both have middle names stating with the same letter.
When I was younger my grandparents lived with us for a while and anything addressed to D. Surname was always an issue, was it me or grannie?

Jude is nice.
I think it goes well with Joel

Chelseajunior · 23/02/2019 21:29

Jamie or jake?

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 23/02/2019 21:48

I don't think they're too matchy.
The only similarity is the number of letters and they both begin with a J.
If you actually say the names together. They sound nothing a like.
Other ideas.
Theo. Toby. Rudy. Jeff. Gabe. Sean. Cole. Finn. Ryan. Rory. Liam. Luca
